Great Wall of China

Now that it's open to the public, you get to see for yourself priceless Chinese artifacts and the 980 buildings within. Take note, however, that it is closed on Mondays. If you book a tour on this day, you will visit the Beijing zoo instead, where you can get up close with Giant Pandas.
Temple of Heaven
Another UNESCO Heritage Site, the Temple of Heaven is the largest imperial complex with ancient sacrificial and religious buildings. It was built in 1420 and serves as the place where the emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties pray for a good harvest to the god of heaven. Its architecture and landscape design have been described as a masterpiece.
