Krabi - Top Tourist Attractions

Krabi is one of the most popular destinations not only in Thailand but it is famous among the world travelers for the attractions it can offer to its guests, check out the list of top places to visit when in Krabi, Thailand

Railay Beach

One of Thailand’s most sought after beaches, Railay Beach is dramatically located between beautiful mountains and crystal clear waters offering an amazing experience to anyone who loves a good adventure or those just wanting to relax on a beautiful beach.

Railay has several activities for its visitors to enjoy—from jungle hikes to boat trips—but what most tourists come to the beach for is its rock climbing.

Khao Khanab Nam

A true symbol of Krabi, the twin limestone mountains of Khao Khanab Nam has several rock formations and caves that hold both beauty and mystery, as there were several human skeletons found in them.

But if you want to take your experience further, you can climb one of the mountains and be rewarded with incredible views of the province. Adrenaline junkies would also never miss a photograph at the rocky overhang on top.

Phra Nang Shrine

Located at the end of Phra Nang Beach, the Phra Nang Shrine is a small cave where locals offer different gifts including penis-shaped items that represent the Hindu deity of Shiva to pray for fertility. Local fishermen also come to the cave to place offerings for safety at sea.

Koh Hong

Just off the Krabi coastline is a group of tiny islands called Koh Hong where you can spend the day taking in the beautiful scenery, lounge by the beach, take a dip in its blue waters or do other activities like scuba diving, fishing, snorkeling, and hiking.

Known as one of Krabi’s top attractions, Koh Hong offers the ultimate beach experience with its white-sand beaches, stunning lagoon and coral reefs that can rival those in other parts of the country.

Susan Hoi

Perhaps one of the most unique top attractions you’ll ever see anywhere in the world, Susan Hoi is a shell cemetery and fossil shell beach that stretches over 200 meters.

This geological site in Krabi has become the final resting place for different fossils of shellfish that is thought to be between 25 and 40 million years old and it continues to amaze visitors who come to explore it. A field of mangroves and a Chinese temple are also worth visiting while in the area.

Finally, there is Ao Nang Beach, which is undeniably the most popular beach in Krabi.

Here, you’ll not only find a great beach to spend the day in, but you’ll also see markets, restaurants, and bars that offer authentic Thai cuisine. Ao Nang is also a jump-off point for nearby islands like Koh Gai, Koh Hong, and Koh Poda.

With its limestone formations, pristine beaches, and lush jungles straight out of a postcard, Railay is a fairytale kept in the seclusion of tall limestone cliffs that separate it from the mainland Krabi province.Accessible only by boat, Railay first came into prominence when backpackers and hippies discovered it in the 70s. Today, it is one of Thailand’s most popular destinations because of its tucked-away location and laidback atmosphere. Railay has four beaches—Ao Phra Nang, ... Read More
