Itinerary
This is a typical itinerary for this product

Stop At: Omaha Beach, Avenue de la Liberation, Saint-Laurent-sur-Mer France

Omaha Beach was known to be the most difficult military objective when the invasion of Normandy was being planned. In order to be sure that the Allied forces took it the youngest and most foolhardy soldiers were assigned to it, most of them were American. You'll walk on the same sands as them and learn about their acts of heroism and sacrifice.

Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Overlord Museum - Omaha Beach, Rond-Point D'acces du Cimetiere Americain, Lotissement Omaha Center Rond-point d'accès du Cimetière Américain - Lotissement Omaha Center, 14710 Colleville-sur-Mer France

Operation Overlord was the code name given to the Allied Invasion of northwest Europe. This museum has an unequaled collection of military equipment that was used to either defend or attack the coast of Normandy. Such as a full-sized authentic Higgins boat, with its front flap down, and impressive Sherman and Panzer tanks.

Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Batterie Allemande de Longues-Sure-Mer, West of Arromanches-les-Bains, Longues-sur-Mer France

This German Battery has a fully intact Command Bunker and 3 other bunkers that are still armed with huge 150 mm guns today. You'll climb inside the bunkers with your guide and find out what happened on the morning of D-day from the Axis perspective. Learning about Rommel's defenses known as the "Atlantic Wall".

Duration: 45 minutes

Stop At: Domaine de l’Hostréière, Rte du Cimetiere Americain, 14710 Colleville-sur-Mer, France

For lunch, you will stop at a mom-and-pop style restaurant such as the l'Hostéière. On the coast, there are no fancy restaurants. There are only little places with fresh local foods such as salads, omelets, barbecued meats, and crepes. We do not include your lunch in our tour price. You can pick whatever you want from the menu. Plan on spending 10-20€.

Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Pointe du Hoc, 14450 Cricqueville-en-Bessin France

The Pointe-du-Hoc was a strategic German defensive point that had huge guns pointed towards both Omaha and Utah Beaches. On D-day, it was a top priority to capture. Here you will walk around huge bomb craters to the edge of a 110ft tall, seaside cliff. Learn how Rudders Rangers climbed it with rocket-powered grappling hooks and their bayonets.

Duration: 45 minutes

Stop At: Cimetiere Americain de Colleville-sur-Mer, 14710 Colleville-sur-Mer France

Here 9,388 white marble tombs stand in perfectly straight lines. You'll walk among the Crosses and Stars of David with your guide and pay your respects to those who sacrificed everything. You'll visit Medal of Honor winners and also the Niland brothers whose real-life story inspired the movie "Saving Private Ryan".

Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Ferme de la Sapiniere, 12 route de Port en Bessin, 14710 Saint-Laurent-sur-Mer France

Before there was a war there were apple trees to tend in Normandy. The apple orchards in Normandy grow dozens of different varieties of apples and turn them into amazing apple juices, hard ciders, and strong liquor called Calvados. A first class experience! Touring with a small group in a comfortable air conditioned van was ideal. Our guide, Johnny, was fantastic and entertaining. We loved each site we visited and standing in the water at Omaha Beach looking up at the cliffs our soldiers had to climb while fighting the Germans, as well as walking through the American Cemetery, was nothing short of humbling.

Incredible, moving experience. Guide Nisa was wonderful. Very engaged, enthusiastic, very entertaining, and a wellspring of information. Variety and pace of tour was just right. Never felt rushed. Nice break at lunch a a good restaurant. Highly recommend this tour. Long drive from Paris but definitely worth it.

I am so happy I booked this tour for my wife and I. Our guide Gabriel was fantastic. He was very knowledgeable and clearly had a deep appreciation for the history he was showing us. The itinerary for the day was as much as anyone could realistically hope to see in the amount of time we had. It was an incredible experience and I would recommend it.

We had an amazing day! Our guide was fabulous. He spoke very good English and was filled with knowledge. Our whole family learned so much and enjoyed our time together. We are so glad we took this tour with our guide!. Normandy is rich with history, beauty, sadness and victory. Our guide made it more special. I wish I could remember his name to give him due credit. Thank you!!
