Waited 25 minutes to get in. The museum is allowing too many tourists to enter at the same time. Some areas were so crowded that the art was not visible without a very long wait. Also disappointed that several major pieces of art were on loan to other museums. Would be nice to know if major works are on loan before we pay to enter. Maps were not very helpful. Very poorly written and hard to follow. Appears that they want us to pay for a guide to be able to enjoy the museum.

Lunch at the Ore café before our visit we purchased tickets included lunch and a skip the line entrance Cool to be taken after lunch thru a side door to enter the louvre nd by pass the line!

The Louvre is incredible. However with the crowds, it is not worth it. Despite having timed entry tickets, we still waited an hour to get in. Then we had to line up again for the wing with the Mona Lisa. Then the room with the Mona Lisa has an insane crowd. Every room we went to was way too overcrowded. I guess there are no fire codes in France! If this is what it’s like in April, I’d hate to see high season!

We had a very lovely self-guided experience at the Louvre, which is an enormous museum. You need so much time and a few days for sure to visit it all. Truly a wonderful space for anyone to visit.

Tapestries and sculptures were amazing. 2nd visit to Le Louvre and we saw so much more than our visit in 2015.
