We took the wet market tour which was fun and interesting. Echo identified a number of interesting fruits and meats. She helped me buy great northern Chinese rice (so many varieties to pick from!). Back at a private residence we made dumplings. By the end we were all making pretty well shaped dumplings that tasted great. Helen and her team made us comfortable and were great instructors. Highly recommended. Thank you Helen and team!

We started with a quick tour in the wet market with Heather to buy some vegetables needed for the meals. Then we met Chef Jiang in a apartment so we can really feel we are cooking at (his) home! We chose 2 recipes and then Chef Jiang detailed the different steps so we can do everything by ourselves. He was very nice and attentive to help up and to explain is how to cook. Finally, the meals were really simple to prepare and to cook (once you buy all the ingredients) and the result was absolutely delicious! I recommend this friendly team, we spent a great time and we had a delicious dinner :P

Elrick met me at the metro and took me shopping at the wet market. He was knowledgeable and a great talker. Jay was my chef and instructor when we got to the apartment. He is the son of a chef (so knows more than his unassuming personality lets on). Jay was fun and professional. I enjoyed learning about wok cooking and traditional seasonings and ingredients. I feel much more comfortable going to the wet market and cooking Shanghai food now because of these guys. This is a great way to spend an afternoon. I highly recommend this.

Helen our host was amazingly accommodating, we were running late but she waited. The wet market was perfect we spent over an hr there asking lots of questions and buying extra food. The cooking was great and very hands on. Great atmosphere to learn the recipient that we had picked out. Solid English skills so was easy to understand. Great company. Highly recommend!!
