If you have more than 7 hours layover time in Beijing , Don't just stay in the airport, sitting on the cold chairs,playing video games or watching Game of Thrones. A better plan would be to visit the great wall,one of the world wonders that can be seen from out space, the wall was firstly built during seven kingdom period(7 centry BC ), Or walk in the Forbidden City where only the Emperor and his concubines lived in the past. There you can appreciate the Ming and Qing Dynasties' rich culture and prosperity.

Stop At: Mutianyu Great Wall, Mutianyu Village, Bohai Town, Huairou District, Beijing China

You will be picked up at the airport based on your given flight details. Our driver will hold your name sign in airport. Upon meeting on the spot, drive straight from Beijing Airport to the Great Wall at Mutianyu。the prettiest section in Beijing. After arrive at Mutianyu Great wall, you can hike up or take the cable car instead (pay extra), then enjoy hiking on the wall for 1-2 hours or so. Then drive back to the airport. Lovely tour ends.

  • As Great Wall is on the mountain top, so in order to let you speed up to the wall and see Great Wall as much as possible, we suggest you to use cable car instead of 40mins walk each way through mountain path. Save time & energy.

Jack was our English speaking driver and picked us up at the airport. He was already there when we got out from the airport although our meeting time was another hour. His English is good that made us feel relieved being able to have someone who can understand us. He provided us with mineral water and bananas in his very well maintained and clean car. The best part he drove us all the way up at the Mutianyu entrance and helped us with the cable car tickets. He even paid first for us when we had difficulty in using Alipay for the first time. We did not have to walk few kilometers. He took the cable car ride as well and explained about great wall to us. He let us spent few hours there without any pressure of being quick. On the way back to our apartment, he was willing to stop at a supermarket for us to buy some groceries. We also asked Jack to send us back to the airport at the end of our stay in Beijing. It was a wonderful experience and having Jack as an English speaking driver made our day. Highly recommended.

We landed at Beijing international airport at 11. Perfect pick up by Jim The trip to the wall was fast and easy, we got water and bananas. At the wall Jim organized a cheaper ticket for the cable car and Tobaggan (180RMB) We were walking about 3-4 hours there and Jim told us a few background information. He even drove us back into Beijing city center to DaDong Roast duck. All in all a super day with a great and funny driver/guide. Highly recommend
