We enjoyed our visit. We appreciated the tour. It was fun and informative - as was the cultural performance. We also really liked that we could enjoy the trails on our own. It was a perfect introduction to the Māori culture and a geothermal landscape.

Miriama was a fantastic guide. The combo with Legacy Tour + Geothermal walk is a great option to understand the local culture and see the impressive geothermal area unique to Rotorua. I would recommend this to international and local visitors to the area

Amazing geothermal pools and tour of a Maori village. The guide was super friendly and talked about the village with compassion that brought everything to life. The geothermal trail was spectacular.

It is interesting to see the cooking method (and tasted the corns cooked in the hot spring, very yummy!). However, you don't see other Maori villagers or how they live as you would have imagined before you sign up for the tour (you just get guided tour in the village and see the houses and hot springs. The Geysers are so far away that you can only get a remote view of them). The Trail has some great views too (especially in the middle of the trail where you can see a place with lots of steams) , but in comparison to Waiotapu for example the views are less impressive. Overall, if you have time, interested in Maori culture and have nothing better to do, it is a good place to go.
