Klong Thom Hot Springs
If you need to take a break from all the walking and exploring while you’re in Krabi, there’s only one place to go—Klong Thom Hot Springs.
Located about 70 kilometers from Krabi town these hot springs sit at the heart of a small jungle preserve, near the Khao Phra Bang Khram Nature Reserve.
It’s also close to the Thung Teao Forest Natural Park and Emerald Pool, which makes your trip to the area more worthwhile.
Locals call the Klong Thom Hot Springs nature’s own hot tubs that look like they’ve been carved into smooth rocks where the thermal spring runs from underground volcanic chambers. The water in the spring is about 35-40 degrees Celsius and it is filled with natural mineral salts that many believe can help with ailments like skin problems, sciatica and rheumatism.
But just sitting on the tub while being surrounded by lush green rainforest is already enough to take your stress away.
And if you’re done enjoying the hot bath in one of the tubs, you can head down to the river to cool down. Recently, some of the hot water has been diverted into large man-made bathing pools to accommodate the growing number of tourists visiting the springs.
