This is a MUST do for anyone in this region of Switzerland! The transportation and guide were top notch,. I'm sure I'm going to leave something out because the experience was truly one of the highlights of my life (avid traveler mid 60's) Taking a cograil train up the mountain was phenomenal, seeing the largest glacier in the Alps, walking thru the Ice Palace, and eating fondue overlooking the mountains and glacier at the top of the mountain was particularly memorable.

This was a great trip. At first I thought it was expensive, but after you factor in the cost of the three modes of transportation (bus, cable car, train) it was very well priced. Our guides were wonderful and I embarrassed that I didn’t get their names. The lead guide spoke multiple languages (Germany/Swiss, Spanish, and English) and her assistant was Asian and spoke very good English as well. It was pleasant that the double decker bus did all the driving for us. After viewing all the Swiss landscape, I’m certainly going back on a motorcycle in the summer. Breathtaking lakes and mountain roads. The stop in Interlaken was very nice and we departed for some coffee and cake. Both were exceptional and the hospitality was great. The weather was fantastic for our trip and visibility was good. It wasn’t exceptionally busy at the top which was great. The dining options were also good as there was a restaurant, Al la cart and an Indian place. You must take the elevator to the sphinx observatory and visit the ice palace. All in all very worth the money and a great experience. Certainly doing it yourself would be cheaper, but having a tour guide and programmed steps was definitely more ideal. Very well done and appreciated.
