On the last visit to York, my 2 grandchildren said they would like to go on the hop on / off bus. So on our next visit we were able to oblige. It was refreshing to have a real person giving us commentary as we moved through the city. Bob was very engaging and added some humour as he talked. The driver (Keith) added some comments as we moved around the city. The circuit lasts around one hour and despite being fairly regular visits to the city over many years we learnt a lot of new things. For those who are not regular visitors, the opportunity to hop off and explore, then hop back on two consecutive days is really useful. Thanks again to Bob for sharing some of his Yorkshire humour with us. p.s. the grandkids really enjoyed it and were able to tell their mum and dad some of the things they had learned.

The weather was great in York so my friend & I decided to travel on the open top bus driven by Rich B for Golden Tours & what a great experience this was . Rich was entertaining, very informative, he made the tour really interesting & seemed to really enjoy his job . We learnt quite a lot about York that we weren’t aware of - the history & also the background of all the beautiful buildings. Thank you Rich , we thoroughly enjoyed the tour

Our guide / driver was Rich B. He had a very pleasant, ‘jokey type’ personality which made his commentary very pleasing to the ear. He was very informative & seemed to take great pleasure in his job. We took the 1st bus out on Monday morning so were the only ones on the bus. Had a ‘birds-eye’ view of the tour sitting right at the front. Rich drove very carefully, informing us of the history as we drove past each building/feature. The weather was very kind to us & we would thoroughly recommend a tour with RICH B on Golden Tours in York.
