We booked the ghost tour as we have visited York many times for weekends away and seen the groups being lead around, we thought we might learn some history as well as doing some thing different but didn’t really think much of it! We was wrong! on meeting Nigel who had been very good with contact and info from the start, he was even better at capturing our imagination - he was dressed for the part, full of interesting stories, he really got into character and captivated his audience, he was also very knowledgeable on anything else we asked. We were very impressed and will definitely be recommending Nigel, excellent experience 👍

Loved this tour ran by Nigel into the history (both dark and light) of York. Nigel communicated beforehand to confirm the booking and meeting place which was helpful. He also kept to time by being at the meeting location and launched straight into the talk. We benefited from being a private group as well, having walked past a group of around 30 on a different tour we were very appreciative of the smaller and personal group size. The content was perfect for our group - the majority was ghostly tales but scattered in were plenty of historical facts about York. Our group learnt a lot! Overall, this is an awesome experience and Nigel is a consummate host. I (and the rest of my group) would highly recommend this tour!

Communication between Nigel and myself up until the tour started was excellent even advising to wear warm clothes as the weather was turning chilly to wearing comfortable footwear. Nigel is very knowledgeable on the subject and makes the tour very interesting and enjoyable answering any questions you have. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience and would have no hesitation in recommending to our friends and family. 10/10
