BOOK NOW! I can't say enough good about Michael at Lily's Private Tours. After reading all the great reviews, our expectations were high, but he still completely exceeded them in every way. We had an incredible time seeing the Terracotta Warriors and Mt Huashan, and Michael offered such specialized knowledge that I feel like we got a truly unique experience. When I travel, I typically value independence/authenticity, so I try to stay away from formal tours. However, here everything was so personalized yet so open-ended (i.e. we got exactly the amount of hiking in that we wanted--no more no less, etc.) and customized that it never felt overbearing. Oh, and the food was amazing. The places he took us for lunch and his recommendations around the city after the tour was over made our whole trip that much better.

Lily helped us arrange 2 fantastic days of touring Xi'an and Mt Huashan. Wendy was our fabulous guide and made sure my husband and I were able to see and do everything we wanted to do. The first day we hiked Mt Hua and instead of just letting us hike around on our own she came with us and made sure we saw the West, East, South and Middle peaks (and gave us the background scoop along the way). And then when it started thundering she navigated us to the North Peak so that we could get off the mountain since the West cable car had stopped running. We were thrilled with this extra adventure and she was game to keep hiking. Go Wendy! The following day we saw the Terra-cotta soldiers, the tomb of Emperor Jingdi and the Big Goose Pagoda. Lily let us custom design our tour since my husband and I had already done a lot on our own. Wendy was a fountain of information about history, past and current Chinese culture. I can't stress enough how much I enjoyed our conversations. While I loved hearing the history of Xi'an, the details she shared about China and her people was priceless. Thank you Lily and Wendy! We can't wait to take another tour with you!

Excellent two days in Xi'an. Wendy was an excellent guide. Terra Cotta Warriors, Old City, History Museum, Emperor's Tomb, an amazing amount of history packed into two days. A can't miss tour if you have two days and comfortable walking shoes.

Went for a 2 days Xi'an tour last week with in a group of 7, and it exceeded all our expectation and blew us away. Foremost, I must highlight that Lily has been most accommodating to all our requests. My friends and I had limited time, and hence we wanted to cover as much ground as possible. Lily went through each destination with me patiently and provided ample detailed breakdown/information. She also tried her best to address all our concerns before the trip. Super Thumbs up! Upon arriving and met up with the Brilliant Tour guide, Jackie, he then went into more details with us, and wanting to ensure that we get to enjoy Xi'an at the most comfortable pace, instead of rushing through each location. He is also most knowledgeable, and pretty much answered all our doubts and questions... He is definitely qualified to be a History teacher!. Overall, amazing experiences and thoroughly enjoyed it. Even contemplating to go back there again! Haha! Thanks Lily and Jackie! :)
