We spent about 4 hours here, lots to see and do ,the shows were really good, The Falconers Quest and The Legend of the Trebuchet were great to see. The Great Hall and all the rooms were spectacular with lots of information to read all throughout the Castle. The walk along the top offered great views, The Dark Tower had lots and lots of steps so be prepared if you go but the scenery is stunning. We had tea and cake in the Conservatory Tea Room and saw about 5 peacocks and beautiful gardens. The tickets are expensive ( cheaper if you book online as we did) and there were a few of the food and drink vans not open but it didn't spoil our day there.

Lovely day visiting the castle. £33 per person: £25 was castle admission and £8 was for the dungeon visit a timed appointment. It was worth it as a full day out. Download the Warwick Castle app to get your tickets on the app and get access to all shows and rooms to visit whilst there. So much history to learn from a visit here and beautiful grounds to walk round. Special mention to the Birds of Prey show which was terrific. The interactive dungeon visit was excellent and a bit scary : definitely not for people with mobility problems as it’s very dark with narrow steps in places. You can leave if you get your hand stamped and walk out into the town for lunch then get back into the castle which was what we did as the towns cafes are very close. Can highly recommend

Incredibly expensive at £28 each and then expected to pay extra £8 for dungeons, play area etc etc. beautiful castle in love,y setting marred by the commercial and rather naff playgrounds, experiences, tours. These should be kept apart from the castle which is like visiting a the,e park. Such a shame. Coffee £4.50 and pint of beer £7.25! It would have been nice to see behind the scenes, ie castle kitchens, stables, etc etc. totally inappropriate dragons and magic themes trivialise what is one of the most important and strategic castles in British history.

We visited as part of a family day organised by Boundless. We knew beforehand that parking is in a field twenty minutes walk from the castle. There are toilets along the path as you walk towards the castle. There is a shuttle service too but we didn’t see the bus, only people waiting for it. We had a cup of coffee from a hot thermos in the car after we parked and before the walk up to the castle. We took a bottle of squash each and some sandwiches in our bag. Bags are searched on entry to the castle grounds for any sharp items. We made our way directly to the area to see the falconer’s quest, which for me was a highlight. As a photographer I found it useful to stand at the back, on the path under the trees, to have a good line of sight over the crowd seated on the grass. The display does not disappoint! We ate our picnic after the 30-minute display and then spotted the eagle owl looking down at us. I thought he was after my sandwiches, but he just sat posing for photos! We toured the state rooms in the castle. There is no set route (that I could see) beyond the first arrow at the entrance, lots to see and you can go at your own pace. I went up onto the castle walls and into the towers and along the ramparts. This is not for the faint hearted. The spiral staircases are steep and narrow. Once you start you are in a one way system, although there are a couple of exit points. I think I read somewhere there are over 500 steps. We visited the gaol, not the dungeon (that’s extra to the admission charge), and we saw the kingmaker displays. In the castle there are numerous waxworks of people which are realistic. Another highlight was the peacock garden, where we saw the birds display.
