Daily Scenic Cruises – Maori Rock Carvings

Our Daily Scenic Cruises depart from Berth #4 at the Taupo Boat Harbour on Cruise Cat. You’ll love cruising in comfort and style with fabulous views from both the top and bottom decks. Cruise Cat is fully enclosed with large outdoor decks to enjoy close up views of the Maori Rock Carvings.  Children are welcome, and we have colouring-in sheets and wheel certificates available for them.  Cruise Cat is also wheelchair and push chair/stroller accessible.

An informative commentary is given on the volcanic history and Maori mythology surrounding Lake Taupo, and you’ll enjoy a complimentary hot homemade muffin and tea/coffee as you take in the fabulous views of secluded bays and the spectacular snow capped mountain peaks of the World Heritage Tongariro National Park.

A joyful ride with pleasant and funny staff members. I learned a lot of information about the lake, nature around, and the history of the rock carving that was the end point of our loop cruise ride. There was a free tapped water available at the ship's deck, and menu with both alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks.

Amazing morning out! A unique experience. Carvings are brilliant! Staff were friendly, informative and helpful. Blueberry muffins were AMAZING!! A must do in Taupo Would definitely go again

Amazing experience from start to finish, well worth the money. A must do if in Taupo! Excellent skipper with a great sense of humor, cultural information relayed in a way all can understand. Hot & cold drinks available for free onboard & a delicious blueberry muffin on the return journey. Thoroughly enjoyed by all in our party, would definitely go again.
