The COTSWOLD DISCOVERY TRAIL is a self guided private tour enabled by our beautifully designed maps and Trail Pack. There are 2 day long Trails to do. Avoid expensive tour guides, the map is your guide. Explore things on your own, at your own pace with the confidence you know where you are going.

The centrepiece of the Trail Pack is a fold out map. There is a Trail on each side, one for the North & South Cotswolds. The Trails are circular to complete in a car, structured around many stops where you explore on foot. There are many start points, so you finish where you start, which is the most convenient place for you.

The maps offer comprehensive directions, are packed full of interesting information and loaded with questions and clues to answer which illuminate further on your surroundings.

We had a lot of fun with this map! We had no idea what to see in this area so the map helped us visualize the area and, with all of the helpful information about each town, prioritize the places we wanted to see. I confess, we also used a GPS to help navigate but found that, if we would have had more time, the map takes you the more scenic route. We had a tough time reading the map in places because of the dark paper but this is just packed with information! I highly recommend getting it ahead of time and doing some homework! We didn't have enough time to do all of the stops but enjoyed what we did see. The company was also great about reaching out to us and getting us the map to the US, with increased postage because we waited too long - our fault, in time for us to take it with us!

Ours was a last minute get away, organised in a rush, at the end of lockdown 2020. Because there wouldn’t be time to have the pack delivered to our home before we left, Daniel obliged by agreeing to forward it to our accommodation. It was there, waiting for us when we arrived. Unfortunately, because many places were still closed due to implications of the pandemic,we didn’t actually do either of the trails on that visit. However, it has afforded us the time and opportunity to study the trails and plan our next visit which we are really looking forward to. I would say this experience is great for adults and children alike and would be great for families. I look forward to exploring the Cotswolds later this year..

A brilliant way to see the highlights of the Cotswolds and great to have a plan and route to follow, especially when there's 4 of you deciding what to do for the day! We really enjoyed the extra information the map/trail offered. Great fun and we all felt the trail enhanced our Cotswold experience.

My husband and I recently moved back to the Cotswolds and thought the Cotswold Discovery Trail would be the perfect way to explore the surrounding areas. We were amazed at the quality of the pack when it arrived - it’s beautifully presented and contains everything you could want/need for the trail - compass, pens, pads, and challenges (for adults and children). The map itself is beautiful and covers North and South Cotswolds, with questions to answer along the way. It’s designed so each area can be covered in a day but we’ve been doing loops and covering 4/5 places at a time - taking our time, with a nice lunch en route. It’s fast becoming our favourite way to spend a Sunday with the dog. I hadn’t realised how much we would get from this product. When we finish our travels I think we’ll frame the map - we’d been looking for a good ordnance survey one for our kitchen but this is better. It’s the gift that keeps on giving! I think this trail would be amazing for anyone coming to visit the Cotswolds for the weekend but I’ll be recommending this to local friends and family too.

These trails are a great way to get to know more about the Cotswolds. We dipped in and out of the trails on our holiday and learned so much more about the places we visited, even though we had visited some before. Our 10 year old enjoyed the logo and kids challenges, but also helped us to spot things we missed along the way! Great fun was had by all.
