Please specify your pick-up time and the name of cruise terminal at the time of booking in advance. You will be picked up from your hotel lobby and transferred to departure terminal by air-conditioned vehicle. Sit back and relax along the way. After arrival at Cruise Terminal, the transfer service ends.

  • We provide up to 20 minutes of waiting time at your hotel from the appointed time. Otherwise, you will be considered as a no-show. Or additional waiting time fees may apply, if you encounter any problems (visa issue or the luggage losing, please do not hesitate to contact us immediately.
  • Babies and children count as passengers even if they do not require their own seat. (We can provide the baby car seats for free if you request. Please specify in the “Special Request” form at the time of your booking, at least 3 days ahead).
  • If you stay airbnb, we might not be able to pick up at the door. Because normally airbnb is in a community where enforces the separation of pedestrians and vehicles.
  • The cruise terminal is Wusongkou Terminal (Baoshan Port), not Shanghai Port International Cruise Terminal (Daming Road, Hongkou District) .
  • This is a private tour/activity. Only your group will participate

Our tranfser from our hotel to the cruise port started off amicably, but this all changed as we approached our destination. Firstly, the driver, who used a Chinese/English phone app, requested we pay for toll charges, which we declined as we had already paid the entire trip through La Vacanza Travel. Then he demanded we pay him a tip - which we usually do, but as it was asked so rudely we remained silent. Upon arrival at the port, the driver locked all the doors, preventing us from exiting the car, until we paid him a tip. We felt absolutely intimidated and quite scared, it was only because we demanded he open the doors and let us out that we were able to get out. The driver then threw our cases on the ground. We have never experienced such terrible service and has totally put us off ever using La Vacanza Travel again.

We arranged a private transfer from the cruise terminal to our hotel. The driver was not there at the scheduled time so I started to get nervous. I then found out that there was a major traffic jam getting to the pier. OK, that is understandable. The cruise terminal had an information office and they were so helpful and contacted the tour company to find out where they were and since they were stuck in traffic they arranged for another driver who was in the area dropping someone off at the pier to pick us up so we did not have to wait for the driver who was stuck in traffic. So in the end all worked out fine but it was a little scary not knowing if they were coming.
