Enjoy this short trip just one hour outside of Shanghai to the serene charm of Zhujiajiao ancient water town. On this 4 1/2 hour tour you'll ride a gondola beneath ancient bridges and stroll Qing dynasty streets and explore Ming and Qing dynasty architecture while diving into local shops. Along the way you'll sample local delicacies such as sticky rice dumplings (zong zi) and steamed pork wrapped in bamboo leaves (zha rou) as well as traditional Chinese candies. This tour also includes a relaxing site-filled gondola ride.

Zhujiajiao is a water town just an hour outside of Shanghai. It was established about 1,700 years ago. It features 36 stone bridges and numerous rivers line Zhujiajiao, and many ancient buildings still line the riverbanks today. The many shops nestled into the historic buildings and stone streets lined are bustling with with food vendors. Gondola rides along the canals are popular activities.

This tour was incredible and Cathy was super great! I was in China for a business trip and last minute had some personal time. It's difficult to get around China without a Chinese speaker so I looked for a tour and found Jenny's tours. In less than 24 hours, I was assigned a guide. It was very reasonably priced also for a solo trip. It helped a lot also that Cathy's English was VERY good. She was very friendly and knew so much of the history! Cathy helped me and encouraged me when buying souvenirs and got us really good food. She was also very willing to take all my pictures for me lol. I was very happy with this and would HIGHLY recommend booking with Jenny!

Nora is one of the best tour guides I’ve ever had. We visited the beautiful Zhujiajiao town, and I learnt about its history, culture and people. We bought local delicacies. Nora was very knowledgeable, and adapted the tour to suit my interests. She spoke excellent English. I enjoyed watching her bargain with the locals. Zhujiajiao is definitely worth going . Lovely old water town n old streets filled with local snacks . Apple, our guide made a difference to our experience! . Besides sharing in-depth information on the history of the water town, she took us to the best rice dumpling store and also Introduced us to some delicious local snacks n even Bargained on our behalf with local shop owners . A proactive and personable guide

I had fantastic tour organised by Jenny. My guide Grace was very knowledgeable, sharing plenty interesting stories and facts. I highly recommend it to anyone and who want to have better understanding of the culture, customs and way of life in Shanghai and surroundings...and try some delicious snacks on the way :)

The flexibility of Jenny's team was unmatch. We are a busy family of four traveling as part of an expat assignment. Jenny's team put together an incredible tour for us. We had to reschedule the entire day 72 hours in advance and the team accommodated us.
