This morning we traveled to Hangzhou by high-speed train from Shanghai with our host Cathy. Hangzhou was once the capital city in Southern Song Dynasty. Today, it not only has incredible history and natural beauty it is also one of the electronic business centers of China. It is the home of Alibaba! We went directly to West Lake which is renowned for its beauty, in the 14th century, Marco Polo, the famous traveler and businessman named this area as "Venice on the Earth" with temples, pagodas, gardens and islands. We took a boat ride on the lake to an island to see Fish and Flower Harbor. Also, the 3 small pagodas which are central to the mid-Autumn festival as three gourd-shaped stone pagodas form an equilateral triangle on the full moon. We then drove to the "Peak Flying from Afar" - stone sculpture: A massive stone sculpture made from WuDai to Yuan Dynasty. It has over 400 pieces and is just an amazing human treasure. A short walk to the Lingyin Temple which is the most influential Buddhist temple in China along with various pagodas and other cultural sites. We had an incredible authentic local lunch pork belly, egg with vegetables, chile peppers with garlic and onion and a nice vegetable dish. We finished our day with our host Cathy at the Dragon Well Green Tea Village. We walked the tea terraces and then sampled pan-roasted green tea from the area of Longjing Village. It is produced mostly by hand and renowned for its high quality, earning it the China Famous Tea title. Back to Shanghai to recharge for tomorrow’s adventures. The experience from booking through the actual delivery is incredible. When we return to Shanghai we will definitely book with Jenny and Cathy!

Our trip with Jessy was really good. We were very tired as we had a flight overnight, but we saw everything we wanted to see and had a good time with the guide. She was very easy to understand and told us everything we needed to know.
