Stop At: Ephesus Terrace Houses, Selcuk 35148 Turkiye

The wealthy people of the city lived in the houses built on terraces on the slopes of Bülbül Mountain. The houses that were built around an open peristillium courtyard consisted of two floors. The houses, the first construction date of which was identified as the 1st century AD, were used in the following years with various additional modifications until the city was finally abandoned. The floors of the houses are decorated with mosaics and the walls are decorated with marble and frescoes. The houses had fountains and underfloor heating systems.

Great & informative tour of Ephesus with our guide Metin. It was easy to book & we met at the top gate of Ephesus, so when we entered it was an easy downhill tour of all the sites. We were able to ask lots of questions. We visited with our kids (12 & 7), Metin was great with them. Would highly recommend No Frills, they made our visit easy, informative & enjoyable. Thank you.

This tour is a must do. It was super easy to set up and we picked a time that worked for us . The guide, Metin was knowledgeable and passionate about the history of Ephesus which made for an enjoyable experience. We were a group of 4 and this tour was one of the best parts of our trip.

The best tours are the ones that stay with you - the sites, the historical information, and the guides - and that is exactly what we got with our tour led by Ugur and accompanied by Mehmet. What a pleasure it was to be immersed in the history of Ephesus, without the touristy distractions of the rug and pottery sales! This was history at its best - up close, well described, and accurate. Not big groups where you couldn't hear, just the attention and knowledge of Ugur who loves good stories, his heritage, and his country. i loved the tour!! our guide uğur was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions very well. the tour was also very well structured and as we went through ephesus he always made sure we were aware of the big picture and that we were following along also the pamukkale tour was great and mehmet shared with us great spots to visit!! overall both uğur and mehmet were very friendly and helpful so my experience was really amazing :D
