Stop At: Trou aux Cerfs, Curepipe, Mauritius
Start your 7-8 hour tour in the southwest of Mauritius. We'll pick you up at your hotel. You'll meet our guide, hop into a comfy vehicle, and head to your first stop, Trou Aux Cerfs. It's a famous natural attraction - a dormant volcano. It's 605 meters above sea level, 350 meters wide, and about 100 meters deep. Unlike most volcanoes, it's surrounded by lush forest with native plants and giant pine trees. Experts think it erupted long ago and has been quiet for about 700,000 years, but there's a chance it could wake up. The best part? You'll get a 360-degree view of Curepipe, Rempart Mountain, Trois Mamelles, and the Port-Louis-Moka mountain range.

Next, we'll go to Mare Aux Vacoas reservoir, the island's biggest, holding almost 26 million cubic meters of water. It's a popular spot for tourists in the south of the island, nestled in thick forests. While not as fancy as other attractions in Mauritius, it's a hidden gem. It's a great place to take a short break from the usual busyness of the country. The reservoir also offers an amazing view that's perfect for photos.

Next, we'll head to Ganga Talao, also called Grand Bassin, a crater lake in the mountainous Southwest of Mauritius, about 550 meters above sea level. On the shore, there's a temple and small shrines dedicated to Lord Shiva and other gods. When you visit this sacred place, you'll be amazed by the huge statue of Lord Shiva, which stands 33 meters tall, the tallest statue in Mauritius. Stop At: Chamarel Seven Coloured Earth Geopark, Chamarel, Mauritius
Our next stop is the seven-colored earth, a natural wonder and a popular tourist attraction. These colors are the result of basaltic lava transforming into clay minerals. You'll witness a surreal and almost otherworldly sight of rainbow-colored sand dunes, set amidst lush green surroundings. It's one of those astonishing gifts of nature that make you say "Wow." This area consists of sand with seven distinct colors - red, brown, violet, green, blue, purple, and yellow. What's even more fascinating is that if you mix the colored sand, it will eventually separate into distinct layers. The colors may even play tricks on your eyes and appear as shadows. There's also a Tortoise Park and a Souvenir Shop with local Chamarel products, while the Coffee Shop offers a delightful cafe experience.
