We had arrived in Poole a little later than planned and so took the Poole Harbour and Island Tour - excellent choice ! A lovely sunny but windy day, and we saw all the 5 islands including Brownsea, as well as the "pinch point" harbour entrance the 500 yard gap between "exclusive " Sandbanks and the much more natural Shell Bay / Studland. Interesting and informed commentary - nothing to rushed; this is a great way to see magnificent natural reserves, birdlife and expensive yachts / cruisers. So worth the money.

Should of been in Menorca! but instead had a great boat trip around the harbour with the family, the only thing that spoiled it was the weather, it poured down! but that did not stop us from enjoying ourselves!

Me and my friend were really looking forward to this trip around Poole harbour. We booked on the 4 15pm cruise. There were a lot of children and families on the boat which I didn’t initially have an issue with. It was quite windy and we could barely here the guy who was giving the commentary during the cruise. We chose to move downstairs hoping the volume would be clearer. We could hear slightly better, but as the trip continued more families joined us downstairs. The children were loud, messing about and unfortunately we couldn’t hear anything. We were really looking forward to hearing all the facts but barely heard a thing. As I said, I don’t have an issue with families on the trip, but they lost interest very quickly and unfortunately the parents didn’t seem to care. At the beginning of the commentary the guy gave some housekeeping rules, maybe it could be an idea to mention that it is a tour with commentary and if people could be more considerate to those who are there and would like to listen. I would book on again mainly as I would like to hear the history and facts of the area, 2nd time lucky, hopefully!
