The objective of 101st Airborne on the D-day

Stop At: Manoir de Brecourt, Chemin du Manoir, 50480 Saint-Come-du-Mont, Carentan-les-Marais France
The battle for Brecourt Manor if one of the greates actions of the famous Easy Company (101st Airborne) on the D-day. The battle was pictured in the series Band of Brothers.

The famous town that became the heart of the US Airborne sector. Taken on the D-day by the 82nd Airborne.

Stop At: Utah Beach, 50480 Sainte-Marie-du-Mont France
Driving around long Utah Beach you will learn about Hitler's Atlantic Wall defence and sightsee/visit many of its remains around the coast. You will visit the place where the French 2nd Armoured Div. landed and of course the place where the US 4th Div. stormed the Utah Beach on the D-day. Lunch at the famous Roosevelt cafe! Place visited by many soldiers that fought in Normandy - not to miss !

Stop At: Pointe du Hoc, 14450 Cricqueville-en-Bessin France
German position (a part the Atlantic wall) sitting on the top of 100 feet steep cliff was attacked in the early hours of the D-day by 225 US Rangers that had to fight and bounce off the German counter-attacks for long three days. It is the most impressive site of all in Normandy with remains of many bunkers, huge craters left by the Allied bombings and a heroic story of the US Rangers.

Stop At: Omaha Beach, Avenue de la Liberation, Saint-Laurent-sur-Mer France
Here at the most infamous place of the D-day sites you will learn about the sacrifice and difficulties that the young soldiers had to face and overcome. Stop between Charlie and Dog Green sector of Omaha Beach, that was pictured in the movie Saving Private Ryan. Than drive through the rest of the beach accompanied by many stories from your guide. Short stops at some outdoor museums for sightseeing of various artifacts - tanks, German guns, defence systems from the beach, landing crafts and many others. (walking at the beach will depend on the tide)

American cemetery and memorial at Colleville is a pilgimage place that every American should visit and learn about the sacrife of the men and women that lost their lives to liberate Europe. Be there just at the end of the day while taking down the flag.

Day 2: From the battles of the hedgerows, Falaise poctet to the end of the Normandy campaign
Stop At: Eglise Notre Dame de St Lo, Place Notre-Dame, 50502 Saint-Lo France
Learn about the battles of the hedgerows as well as the battle of the city St-Lo. After the massive Allied bombings the city got the nickname "The city of ruins". The remains and damage from the battle are still visible around the town: WW1 monument statue wich is riddled with shrapnel, 155mm shell still stuck in the wall of the cathedrale and many others.

Stop At: Mortain, Mortain, Manche, Basse-Normandie, Normandy
Hitler said, "The coming battle would be the most decisive of the war." But, little did he know, that battle would be determined by a small group of National Guardsmen of the 30st Div. on top a hill fighting like hell to deny what Hitler wanted most-victory.

Stop At: Chapelle Saint-Michel, Rue de la Petite Chapelle, 50140, Mortain France
Stand on the top of the Hill 314 and overlook the entire hedgerow country. Walk the hill, the battlefiellds and learn the story of the brave 700 US defenders and their epic stand which was the begining of the end of Hitler's forces in Normandy and resulted into the battles of the Falaise gap.

Stop At: Memorial de Montormel, Les Hayettes Coudehard, 61160 Argentan France
Place where the Falaise gap was closed and the German forces completely encircled. It was here that for the first time Hitler ordered his forces to retrieve, but after the heavy fights, there was not much to retrieve anymore... Visiting of the museum 5 Euro per person (not included in the tour)

Stop At: Vimoutiers Tiger Tank, D979 La Butte du Sap, 61120 Vimoutiers France
Stop at the rare Tiger tank I of Vimoutiers. From 1350 examples produced only seven are left through the whole world. This makes it a very rare stop before heading back to Paris.
