We just had a wonderful 10 Tastings Tour of St Germaine with Anukool from Withlocals. He was full of knowledge and interesting facts about Paris and St Germaine. As we walked he told things about the area we never would have known- so not only was it a tasting tour but a historical tour as well. He took us to so many truly lovely establishments where he knew the proprietors and the history of the restaurants. The tastings were incredible from chocolates to crepes and quiches and wondrous charcuterie. Anukool has such an engaging personality it was like walking around with a friend—very easy to talk to and very kind and caring. This tour was truly a highlight and we would definitely recommend Anukool to share it with you.

Bibiana was so wonderful! At our scheduled time I actually wasn't feeling well and she was kind enough to reschedule for another day with us. That alone was so so kind! She took us all around the neighborhood by the Moulin Rouge and gave us tons of history about the buildings we walked past. We stopped at lots of the restaurants and got quiche, desserts, chocolates, baguettes, other breads, coffee, etc. The food was amazing! She ordered all the food for us and showed us a great time!! Thank you Bibiana for showing us such a wonderful side of Paris!

Owing to some booking confusion/ a last minute callout by our original guide- I mistakenly double booked a tour with a second tour operator. This lead to an awkward phone call 10 minutes after our tour started, from the replacement guide we "stood up". I am so glad we elected to stay with Henrick- he was clearly well known in the area we toured- the outdoor and indoor market at the Place D'Aligre in the 12th and very knowledgeable. Henrick helped us assemble a veritable picnic as we toured first the open stalls then the indoor covered market eating oysters, cheeses, bread, charcuterie, desserts beer, wine and artisan coffee as we toured stalls and he explained the history of the market and its surroundings. At one point we found a suitable counter top and an impromptu street party ensued with nearby vendors joining us for an glass of wine and a quick bite. With apologies to Ernest Hemingway and more latterly John Baxter- this was our Moveable/ Immoveable Feast. When the food tour ended Henrick took is along the Coulee Verte Rene-Dumont....-the Paris equivalent of the NYC High Line- a long plant covered viaduct but with more mature growth and serious looking students heads planted in impressive philosophy tomes- a cool reprieve after the noisy bustle of the market. The Viaduc leads to the Place de la Bastille and a second food and flea market, where Henrick left us...a little fuller and a good deal better informed.

Our guide, Zoltan, was superb! We loved the tastings in the market, and he helped us to select local/regional fare for a true French tasting experience. He even helped us toast and sing to my husband for his birthday! His background is extensive in travel and we enjoyed exchanging details of shared locations. His grasp of multiple languages is unbelievable! We would definitely ask for Zoltan to be our guide again!

Our tour guide, Bibiana, did an excellent job getting to know us at beginning of tour. She then took us to some great little locations, constantly giving us history lessons if the area. She took us to quite a few sights we hadn't seen on our numerous trips to Paris. Great tour, I highly recommend it
