What Can You Expect?

Head to your cookery school in central Paris the afternoon, then meet your macaron-making instructor over a refreshing drink before beginning your class.

During your hands-on class, listen to step-by-step guidance from your instructor and master the delicate art of macaron making. Learn how to make the meringue shells in the colors of your choosing and master the art of piping in the buttercream filling.

When your macarons are ready, sample your creations with a cup of tea of coffee and listen as your host talks of the macaron’s place in French culture and tradition. After three hours of baking and tasting, take your box of macarons and head outside to conclude your class.

This class was really fun. Our teacher, Florence was really detailed in her instructions and gave us tons of feedback. She really helped me improve me technique. I learned a lot about making a successful meringue base for the cookies, piping just right, and about making some great fillings for them as well. Afterward, we sat and enjoyed some of the macarons with some tea. We then got to pack up macarons in a box to take along. She was right! They are much tastier the next day!

This macaroon making class with Chef Stephane Jimenez was my favorite part of our trip to Paris! Our family of 5 (ages 13, 10 and 7) enjoyed a morning of macaroon-making in the most beautiful kitchen. Stephane was an excellent teacher and made it such fun to make these treats. Would absolutely recommend for locals or visitors!
