Travel back in time and explore the Italian Renaissance, discover ancient Egypt, Greece and Rome, and the great French paintings of the 19th century. You may be surprised to discover that the Louvre was a royal palace before it became a museum, and you will walk through the sumptuous corridors as Kings, Queens and Emperors once did.

Our guide was outstanding and gave such in depth insight into the art and history of the Louvre. We had a wonderful time. We went at a great time as the crowds thinned out due to the lateness of the day.

Very confusing instructions! Instructions said meet the guide under the guy on the horse across the Triumphal Arc. Went to the triumphal arc but there another Triumphal Arc. Okay my mistake. Took taxi to the correct triumphal arc. Operator called me asked me where i am and how long away. I said 9 minutes away at 11:07am. Operator said the guide will be waiting at the statue of a guy on a horse across from the Louvre enterance and they cant wait any more so i have to be there at 11:17am or 11:20am. I was there at that time waiting. Then the operator calls me and says where am I? I am at the guy on the horse statue. THEN the operator reveals that it's not that statue across from the Louvre, it's the OTHER STATUE where there is construction. But when I get there it's not a guy on a horse - it is a guy on a CHARIOT WITH 4 HORSES! BIG DIFFERENCE! So yes I was late but I was there when they told me to be at the latest! Nobody mentioned chariot and that it's under construction! The instructions weren't clear! Very disappointing for a couple that is on their honeymoon. Asked for refund.

Very helpful to hit the highlights of the Louvre and skip the line! Would have been very overwhelming for us without a guide and our guide was great!

This was a great tour for our family as we were only in Paris for 36 hours. It included all the highlights and the guide was very knowledgeable. Booking the tour also insured less time waiting in the long lines outside security. We liked the audio packs so we could clearly hear and follow our guide, even in a very crowded place. After the tour you are able to continue to explore on your own, which was nice. The meetup was a bit confusing as there was a sign for La Vacanza Travel meetup points that was incorrect, and when we saw the guides in orange across the plaza and showed our ticket, they said we were not in their group at first. I insisted they check because the name of the tour company via La Vacanza Travel matched her tote bag, and she then realized that we were. That was the only part that was a bit stressful. Overall recommend, especially if your time in Paris is limited.

Our guide, Sophie, was amazing! After overhearing many tour guides during our museum visits in Paris, we were so relieved and grateful to have her. She was extremely knowledgeable, kind, patient and helpful and really made it a memorable experience for us.
