Marcela was a wonderful guide! Well spoken, comfortable with people, and provided interesting information. She definitely kept our attention. The tour was short - once up on the tower, she took us around the platform and pointed out various monuments around Paris, with some historical details about each, as well as some trivia about the tower itself. The boat trip was lovely, and the flexible dates on it were perfect as we were able to pick when to go based on weather. Overall, I would say that this is a perfect tour if your visit to Paris is short - gives you the greatest hits while providing some great opportunities for photos. We went in the evening as the sun was setting. Perfect!

I'll write about each aspect of this trip separately. Overall, Paris Trip provided a great service and we really enjoyed out visit to the Eiffel Tower and our cruise on the Seine but they were not without some issues. EIFFEL TOWER We were encouraged by friends to buy skip the line tickets and we found Paris Trip online. Finding the meeting location was easy and check in was quick. Our guide met us at the meeting point and walked with us to the Eiffel Tower. She was very friendly and spoke excellent English. We bypassed the security lines and went straight in to the area below the Tower. But then she instructed us to line up in the group waiting area where we waited for 20 minutes in the sun. We then were lead to the entrance line where again, we bypassed the "regular" lines but had to wait with all of the other tour groups to board the elevators. We waited here for another 15 minutes before finally getting on the lift. Overall we probably did save some time but we certainly did not "skip the line" Once at the second level our guide took us to each side of the Tower and pointed out the main sights. It was very helpful to know what we were looking at and to get some additional info on the various areas and sights in Paris. Her tour lasted 20+ minutes and then she left us to continue our visit on our own. It was relatively crowded but not terribly so. We took some photos and then defended to the first level for a drink and to rest our legs. Overall a very nice visit and a MUST do when in Paris. SEINE RIVER CRUISE With your Eiffel Tower tickets you receive tickets for the Seine River cruise that are valid for any departure during your stay. We wanted to do the cruise at night and since it was summer the sun didn't set until nearly 10PM. We decided to go on the last boat of the night at 10:30. We got to the dock and quickly realized that everyone else wanted to go on the last boat as well. The line to board the boat was out of the maze and down the dock! It was total mayhem. The lines aren't well defined and even if you have tickets you must line up with those who do not have tickets. The boat before ours arrived at the dock and it was shoulder to shoulder with people in both the inside and outside seating areas. We were just about to leave and come another day but we decided to wait a little longer and see how things played out. After having a number of families cut in front of us in line we got to the front of the line and they cut off entry as the boat was full! We asked if that was it for the night and were told that there was one more boat at 10:50. Although it was late and it meant our kids - ages 10 & 13 - would be up until well past midnight we decided to wait it out. By this time there were only about 70 people in line with us and we were at the very front of the line. We boarded the boat, had our choice of seats and the boat was nearly empty. It was awesome!!! We struggled to get the online guide to work (you connect your phone to the wifi and choose your language and are provided an audio guide of the sights) After a couple tries we gave us and decided to just enjoy the sights and the "City of Lights" without it. The cruise lasted about one hour and as it was a warm evening in Paris people were still out on the banks of the river enjoying the night and we had a great time! Again, we enjoyed our experience with Paris Trip and loved both the Eiffel Tower and the Seine cruise. Just be aware of what you are getting with this ticket and what to expect in terms of lines and crowds.

Very interesting visit and knowledgeable guide! Skipping the lines help a lot to spend more time in the tower and less staying in line.

Im not sure what happened with the Cruise portion of this deal. However, the tour guide gave us a few facts on the 2nd floor of the tower and wished us well soon after. My husband and I were confused as to where we were to meet her for the cruise so at the end of it all we did not go on the cruise. No one informed us of how it would all work, we were strictly depending on the tour guide. ????????
