Explore the vineyards and Champagne estates around Reims and/or Epernay during this private Champagne day trip from Paris. Travel into the French countryside with a private licensed tour guide and gain insight into centuries of Champagne-making heritage. Choose two 2 Champagne houses to visit either Veuve Clicquot, or Ruinart, or Moet and Chandon and 1 smaller producer and learn how Champagne is produced, matured, and prepared for the world market. This tour includes pickup and drop-off at your accommodation in Paris (no pick ups outside of Paris sorry). Tasting/visit fees are NOT included. We depend on the availability of each Champagne house and can not guarantee their availability on the day of your inquiry, if you book within less than a month the producers might not be available) Veuve Clicquot and Ruinart are closed on Sundays and Mondays.

What Can You Expect?

This is a typical itinerary for this product

Stop At: Reims, Reims, Marne, Grand Est

Visit the spectacular cellars of a big producer such as Veuve Clicquot, Pommery or Ruinart (depending on their availability) or smaller producers only ; choose between the standard tasting or the high end tasting

Duration: 2 hours

Stop At: Epernay, Epernay, Marne, Grand Est

Visit the unique cellars and taste one of the finest Champagne of Epernay such as Moet & Chandon or from a smaller Champagne grower (can be another small producer depending on availability) please contact us to see which tour is available

Duration: 2 hours

  • Tour inside the cellars given by a local guide (your driver-guide does no go with you inside)

My Mom and I had the pleasure of spending the day with Frederic, our wonderful guide to the Champagne region. From start to finish, our day was spectacular. Frederic was a wealth of knowledge regarding the Champagne region and was incredibly helpful the entire day. We visited private houses and had a day we will always cherish, learning so much about the beautiful art of creating champagne! I recommend this tour to anyone and everyone.

This tour was the real deal. The owner Philippe was amazing. Extremely knowledgeable as he is originally from the Champaign region. We tasted at two houses, one large, and at his suggestion, one small house. We drove around beautiful Champaign and saw some amazing scenery. I can honestly say this was one of the best tours my wife and I have ever taken.

Let me start by saying I have the great fortune to travel the world quite a bit and have booked a number of tour guides over the years. Philippe, owner of Best of France Tours, is the best guide I've ever worked with (and he's an amazing human as well!). From the moment I inquired about a tour of the Champagne region in France up to and through our entire day together, he thought of every detail. He was extremely responsive and really listened to what I wanted in a tour. Philippe curated visits to three small Champagne houses and I gained such an incredible education from Philippe (even before we arrived) which helped to set a great foundation for the day. We also enjoyed a fabulous lunch in a local village. He helped to keep us on track since we chose to fit so much into one day. He also provided such great history of Paris and the region - so knowledgeable about the history as well as current events. It was truly a fascinating and memorable day and I will for sure book another tour with Philippe the next time I'm in France! Merci Philippe!
