The Catacombs and a Seine River cruise offer distinct and captivating experiences. The Catacombs take you beneath the city into an underground ossuary, showcasing a historical solution to cemetery overcrowding. The arrangement of human bones creates an eerie yet educational atmosphere.

Seine River cruise provides a completely different perspective of Paris. Sailing along the iconic river, passengers enjoy breathtaking views of landmarks like the Eiffel Tower and Notre-Dame, especially enchanting during evening cruises with the city aglow. The cruise offers a romantic and leisurely way to appreciate Parisian charm, accompanied by insightful commentary for a cultural touch.

While the Catacombs delve into the city's subterranean history, the Seine River cruise unveils the splendor of Paris from a unique vantage point. Both experiences contribute to a well-rounded exploration of the city, catering to diverse interests from history enthusiasts to those seeking a romantic, scenic escape.

Visit: The Paris Catacombs, 1 Avenue du Colonel Henri Rol-Tanguy, 75014 Paris France

A visit to the Catacombs of Paris involves exploring an underground ossuary that holds the remains of approximately six million people. Located beneath the streets of Paris, the Catacombs are a network of tunnels and chambers that were created to address the issue of overflowing cemeteries in the late 18th century. Visitors descend into the depths of the earth to discover a haunting and unique environment, where the bones of the deceased are arranged in artistic patterns along the walls. The experience offers a glimpse into the macabre history of Paris and serves as a somber reminder of the city's past. It's a popular attraction for those interested in history, archaeology, and the darker aspects of cultural heritage. Visitors should be prepared to walk through narrow passages and stairs, and it's recommended to check for any specific regulations or restrictions before planning a visit.

Do NOT book this experience with this provider (Paris Lounge). First off, there was an option to add on a Seine River dinner cruise which I did not select, however I was charged for it. Then, we received confirmation vouchers but you actually need tickets with QR codes to enter the catacombs. We received a ticket email the day before like we were supposed to but they only linked to the vouchers which clearly stated they were not our entry tickets. I attempted to call the provider twice and got an automated French voicemail message that did not identify the number as being affiliated with the tour company. I tried to use the in app chat function in La Vacanza Travel but the vendor never responded and we ended up having to buy the tickets again directly from the museum. We were worried because they were sold out, but they let us go ahead and buy the tickets. We also learned that we should have just bought directly from the museum in the first place because the vendor did not provide a guide or VIP entrance, but charged an additional fee. This is not a reflection on La Vacanza Travel, their service has been fantastic. They tried to contact the vendor and since we never got our tickets, they have requested a refund for us.
