Our family traveled to Oxford over Easter break with my two sons, prospective students. Because of the holiday, colleges were closed and tours were unavailable. Luckily, we found Visit Oxford Tours who connected us with Peter, an Oxford alum. Peter gave us not only a comprehensive tour of Oxford, but also insights into the application process. Peter was funny, knowledgeable, and super generous with his time. Our tour went well over the allotted time. Recommend!

Peter was exceptional, so knowledgeable and a hoot. We booked last minute as we happened to be in the country and he could not have been any more accommodating. Peter was very flexible and adapted the tour to meet some of my daughters preferences when considering Oxford for college. He weaved in lots of historical references, plenty of Harry Potter and his own uni anecdotes. It rained throughout and we didn't care - it was a lot of fun. Thank you.

Murray was absolutely fantastic!! He was so friendly, wonderfully informative, and deeply interested in showing us all the highlights and inside details of Oxford University. We would highly recommend him as a favored guide!! We could have spent all day with him and gotten a beer afterwards!!! Tremendous experience!! Thank you!!

Oxford was the first leg of our family roadtrip this summer. We were keen to pack in as much as possible to our one day stay so needed a local guide to help us take in the sights and history of this beautiful city. We have two teenage boys and thought it a good opportunity to have them perhaps inspired academically too, so my wife booked a "private oxford students tour with entrance advice session" through tripadvisor for just the four of us. Alasdair contacted us soon after booking to ask what my son's subject of interest was. Whilst my eldest son has just completed his gcse's with only a vague notion that he might be interested in psychology for uni, and we would have been more than happy with some general insights into student life, we were most impressed that our guide turned out to be Johannes, a 3rd year psychology undergraduate. Johannes' tour was absolutely brilliant, taking in many interesting sites. He was knowledgeable and engageing; answering all of our questions be they touristy, university, subject or course related. My younger son is a bit of a film buff so was engrossed by all the Harry Potter and C.S. Lewis facts and stories. A very informative, enjoyable and inspiring experience had by us all in fact. Highly recommended.
