This tour had almost nothing to do with food - when we finally did get to the food market 45 minutes into the tour, we were told to just pick something that sounded good......what?! We expected a recommendation for a local delicacy and were just told that all of the food was good - I ended up with a Greek spinach pie and my mother ended up with Hungarian cabbage. When we finished that, we were given a piece of shortbread the guide had purchased prior to the tour. The next hour of the tour was a mix of Harry Potter trivia and church hopping. The only other food we got was an ice cream cone at the end of the tour! We did not have 4-5 food or drink portions, or visit a cheese shop or deli as stated in the tour information. I literally had a spinach pie, a piece of shortbread and an ice cream cone. While the guide, Peter, was very nice and knowledgeable about Oxford history, obviously food tours are not his specialty. Take this tour if you want a LOT of Harry Potter trivia and very little food.
