We had such a wonderful time on this tour! The hosts were extremely knowledgable and gave us the perfect amount of time to explore at every stop. We also appreciated how it was a small group so we could ask questions. If you've never been to the Cotswolds and are looking for an introduction, this is a great option!

We took the Cotwold Rover half-day tour leaving from Oxford on a Saturday afternoon, which was ideal for our itinerary. The wife-and-husband team of Isobel (guide) and Gary (driver) were expert and entertaining, as accessible to us as visiting Americans as the other couple from Sussex on holiday. Isobel provided very interesting commentary on the places we saw, ranging from the history, notable residents past and present, and even current real estate prices! The villages, towns and estates we visited were varied and gave a good taste of the different kinds of settlements in the region, including ancient ruins, picturesque cottages, "wool churches", and lively resorts. On our return to Oxford, Isobel recommended a fantastic French restaurant (Pierre Victoire) and they dropped us off nearby. The mini-bus was comfortable, and there was a good balance of stops and territory covered on the road. David is a retired helicopter pilot and had some interesting stories as well!
