Overview

Take an exciting sightseeing and nature trip with us departing from South Pier, Lowestoft heading north at speed to Scroby Sands. Look for the beaches as we go and see Lowestoft, Gorleston and Great Yarmouth from a different perspective! We slow right down when we get anywhere near the seals to avoid disturbing them and usually switch off the engine and drop the anchor to let you have a good look and get some amazing pictures and memories.
There are normally many seals there, some on the sand (tide dependent!) and some bobbing around in the water. You should get some amazing pictures, they’re very inquisitive.
Please note that the scheduled times are departure times and you will need to arrive 30 minutes before!

We turn to port (left) out of the harbour mouth and head north along the coast getting a great view of Lowestoft, Corton etc

    What a fantastic experience we had today. We were all rather wet but so much fun! The seals came quite close and we were offered binoculars to see them even closer. John and Jas couldn’t have been more welcoming and looked after everyone, especially the nervous and young passengers. Thanks for an amazing experience!

    We were on the seal watching trip that Dazzle was on. What a wonderful trip out. Very pleasant and knowledgeable crew, waterproofs provided if you needed them, and loads of seals. And the porpoise who put in an appearance made for a great experience. Can't recommend this trip highly enough.

    Great trip - really calm sea so kept dry! Saw hundreds of seals and an unusual sighting of a porpoise. Crew were very helpful and knowledgeable and we had a fab time. Our dog came onboard too and was made very welcome.

    Wow!! What a fantastic trip. We arrived to a very friendly welcome, were kitted out in waterproofs and safety gear then off we went. An exhilarating ride along the coast towards the wind farm and Scroby. Can’t believe the number of seals, many swam around the boat whilst others relaxed on the sand banks. John and Mark were very informative about the seals/wildlife/surrounding area. Definitely recommend this trip!!

    A thrilling boat trip with entertaining hosts (John and Fliss), out to Scroby Sands to see the seals in their natural habitat. I loved that they were not afraid of us and were perhaps more inquisitive of us, swimming right up to the boat, which had been anchored with the engine turned off. Lacking boat knowledge but enjoyed the nostalgia of seeing a coal fuelled boat sailing close to Lowestoft - the Lydia Eva. We circled her and waved to the crew, an enjoyable ‘extra’.
