A private surfing lesson at Fistral Beach Surf School is completely tailored to you. Whether you are looking to work on the foundations of your surfing or refine manoeuvres our experienced coaching team will be able to help. With an extensive and carefully selected range of boards and wetsuits, whatever your needs we will have the right equipment.

Fistral Beach Surf School & Hire is the only centre located on Fistral Beach. Due to our unique location, we can make the most of your time and focus on surfing and that all-important wave count.

Private surfing lessons are suitable for all abilities and anyone aged 5+ years. You can book them as a 1-on-1 lesson or in a family or group. Private surfing lessons are 2-hours long, once you have had a lesson with us you can also choose to keep the equipment for the rest of the day or use discounted hire on the following day.

Our coaching team are experienced in coaching beginners to competing at European level. However, the focus is always on coaching your ability and giving you the feedback needed to keep surfing and enjoying it!

    We were a bit nervous as tried to surf ourselves when we were at a beach, having gone back to Newquay and bottled it last time on having a lesson we did it this time and didn’t regret it , Layla got us right into to it , very good clear instruction and very encouraging , it was brilliant Erin my daughter loved it as did I we were up on those boards riding some decent waves in no time as were others in our group , and it just pays to book a lesson and get the basics right to go on and practice again on your own , fantastic beach fantastic staff at the Fistral beach surf school from booking with Ben and given your gear to the actual lesson and then putting it into practice , thank you all , it was just brilliant Go on book a lesson you won’t regret it and you might just get the bug Thanks to Ben and Layla Steve jones - 26/03/24

    Absolutely brilliant lesson with Tom. As an adult absolute begginer he gave me so much confidence. I enjoyed my lesson and am hooked now, I will be back for a follow up in spring. He even carried my board when I was just to tired to do it myself, what a gentleman. Fab kit and facilities too (Not at all cold in a winter wetsuit, boots and gloves) If like me you been wanting to try surfing for years just do it, wish I had 25 years ago.
