Overview

We are Newquays Number 1 Specialist Surf School. Our coaching team are all professionally qualified surf coaches as well as qualified beach lifeguards, and CRB / DBS checked.
We only teach surfing, so you can sure your kids are in a safe and professional environment.
These kids lessons are great for all abilities as the coach will tailor the lesson depending on the abilities of the group. Its a max of 6 kids per session, all aged 8-13 year olds.
In addition, we boast the best facilities. Heated changing rooms, hot showers, towels, hairdryers, and a bar / restaurants with the best view in town!

What Can You Expect?

Itinerary

Running Monday - Friday, during the School Holidays, let us look after the children and teach them how to surf on Towan beach, which is Newquays best beginner surfing beach.

The Surf Sessions are each 2 hours long and we'll focus on having fun, catching lots of waves and giving your child expert surf coaching, whilst at the same time building their confidence, learning valuable ocean knowledge and making friends with other kids!
The price includes all equipment (surfboard and wetsuit) and all the children are able to use our secure changing rooms and showers for before and after the lesson.

The lessons are scheduled based on the tides, so the start times can vary, but you can schedule and choose your preferred dates and times, when booking.

For 2022 the availability for kids only surf lessons is inline with the following school holiday dates:

Easter Holidays: 11th April - 22nd April, Monday to Friday only
May Half Term: 30th May - 3rd June, Monday to Friday only
Summer Holidays: 11th July - 2nd September, Monday to Friday only
October Half Term: 24th - 28th October, Monday to Friday only

Kids loved their lessons. Only four in their session and it was for 2 hrs so really good value for money. Well located right next to the beach and great changing and shower facilities too. We ate at belushis afterwards which was also lovely. Loved the professional pics we got too

My son has been having surf lessons with Escape Surf School for the past couple of years and he absolutely loves them, it’s always the highlight of his holiday. The staff are always very friendly and always remember him. Great for all levels. Would highly recommend!!

These surf lessons were fantastic. I booked my daughter in for a one day lesson, she loved it so much that we booked her in again the following day. The two hour lessons were just the right amount of time and the group size perfect. A special mention to the instructor Lucy who had my daughter able to stand up on the board and surf independently on her second lesson. Great fun.

My son's who are 9 and 12 had "the best day ever" learning to surf with Escape. The teachers went out of their way to make sure they had the best experience and caught as many waves as they could. Super patient, knowledgeable with helpful tips, fun and clearly love what they do. Great facilities, and best view in town for a coffee after for Mum and Dad. Thanks Mike and crew for an awesome day, the boys can't wait to get back for another go!

My kids had a great time! They already knew the basics and the instructor improved their skills enormously. Friendly staff and a 10/10 all around in our experience.
