John was an excellent guide! Such a great tour, highly recommend. We had limited time in London and this allowed us to see so much and got a great overview with John’s knowledge. We had two adults and a 7 year old and it was perfect for all ages.
Such a great tour! John, our guide, was a wealth of knowledge and he also had a great sense of humor. Our small group was one of only two small groups that were allowed in to watch the guards open the tower; it was both educational and really interesting. The tour was the perfect balance of time to explore and guided activities. We really appreciated it being in early, especially as the crowds were quite thick as we were leaving. Highly recommend - thanks to John and his guide abilities!
Great guide! The Crown Jewels were magnificent… a must see! So much history. Great walk across the bridge.
The meeting time is early but totally worth it! Very clear instructions were given on how to find the meeting place. But you must be on time! As we have to beat the crowds! You cannot bring large bags as they are not allowed through security at the Tower of London. They will search your bags. You go in and are escorted privately by a Beefeater and he will speak to you for a bit before the guards come down with the keys to open the gates (Tory the general public in). So cool! Then you run up the hill to get the first look at the Crown Jewels. There was no line, we were the first ones. You then tour white tower on your own. Before being led out to tower bridge. You tour the bridge on your own as well. The guide will speak to you at several points along the way and give you information on the history. But they do not go into any of the buildings with you. Wear comfortable shoes! The ground can be uneven through the cobble stones! And you can climb the stairs at the bridge to beat the line for the lift. Overall a very good day! It took about 4 hours.
Cleo was fantastic, she did a great job of providing information and details all throughout the tour. I would highly recommend her tour as the one to take.
