When the park is quiet it’s one of the best things on this world, just walking on some of the best coasters and being able to do them 3or4 times without getting off.Definitely recommend going on a week day.

Great day out. Some issues with rides shutting down for long periods which isn’t ideal when you’ve queued for an hour which happened to us twice!! Also, not really much Thorpe Parks could probably do but there is a major problem with people vaping in queue lines!!

As two adults and 2 teens we stayed 2 nights Fri-Sun and had 2 fantastic days in the theme park and a fantastic stay in a shark cabin. They are snug but fine for 4 people just don’t take more than you need. Power shower was delightful after a day on the rides. Beds very comfy and a TV with all channels was a bonus. Wish i’d have taken advantage of the free sun cream - I burnt through thick gloomy clouds! The let down for us was the evening food situation - you’d need to either grab a hot meal before the park closes at 6 or eat in the dome on a limited (and pricy) menu. Grabbing a meal from the park is optimistic post 5pm, either the stands have ran out of food, or Burger King has stopped serving early so they can be finished and cleaned down and out for 6pm. The menu in the dome is only really burgers (at £12-15) and sides (cajun chips, onion rings etc) so just didn’t really capture the teens imagination who were wanting stodge after a packed day, i’e pizza, wraps, ice cream etc. You can JustEat easily but they may want to meet you back out on the main road which is a walk (just from our experience and this restaurant.) Otherwise take snacks that do not need to be chilled for the evening. I would not hesitate to return to either the park or the Shark Cabins and I would encourage others to do the same!

IF YOU HAVE SOMEONE WITHIN YOUR PARTY WITH A DISABILITY PLEASE READ!! So we attended Thorpe Park last weekend as a family of 4, (20th & 21st April) we stayed in the shark cabin rooms and had 2 days in the park. 2 adults 2 children, 13 & 16! THE CABINS - There good for what you need them to be, small compact but we literally slept in there so it didn't bother us much. The wet room wasn't the cleanest, it was really loud with people walking up and down from outside. Breakfast was also included which was pretty ok. We choose to eat out of the park of the evening and returning back to the park was easy enough through security. The toilets in the park were clean and maintained extremely good compared to other parks we have visited! Unfortunately this is where my positive experience of Thorpe park ends. We booked our stay well over a month ago for my son's 16th birthday surprise treat as hes a huge adrenaline junkie despite his additional needs. My son has a nimbus card due his special needs, whenever we take him places like this we've always required an access card due to his special needs! On arrival We went straight to guest Services with our information and proof to obtain an access card for our disabled son only to be told we were not allowed one as it had not been booked in advance. We've never been to a theme park (Especially a Merlin park) where we've had to pre-book our access cards for a disabled child. The staff in guest Services were not really much help did not care much and would not get the manager when I asked. at this point there is about 10 families all in guest services for the same reasons at 10am!! All to be told the same, and we're all unaware that we needed to pre-book. Should we have been made aware we needed to pre-book we most certainly would have done to make our stay and enjoyment far easier for my child. By this point the manager finally did come out to speak to all its visitors in the Services. Again, nothing more was done about the situation. Only to be told it was all on the website. It is on the website we checked while we were there but it's right at the bottom in extremely small writing. Maybe an email should be sent out or Merlin parks should have broadcasted or advertised this better because nobody knew and nobody wanted to help any of its visitors in guest services Saturday morning! There was absolutely no sympathy for any of your guests that morning with disabilities!! Absolutely shocking. Personally I think the staff within the services are far too young and inexperienced to take on this role with frustrated guests due to lack of information and communication from higher up! YOU NEED TO DO BETTER BY YOUR DISABLED GUESTS, ADVERTISE BETTER AND CLEARLY THAT YOU HAVE MADE CHANGES FOR YOUR DISABLED VISITORS! Small print on your website clearly isn't enough as none visiting your park that weekend were aware!! On MANY occasions we waited 40/50 minutes in queues with our disabled child who was constantly having mental breakdowns, making other visitors uncomfortable, being a danger to himself and others around him only for the ride to then close then all it's customers waiting to Que had to leave after waiting so long. No fast track passes issued for the inconvenience either!! The whole weekend this was happening.. are rides fit for use with them constantly having to close due to breakdown's?? I'd also like to highlight the Lovely Arian, who was working SAW on the morning of the 21st April. He's was extremely rude to visitors in the Que, he was the young gentleman directing guests to rows! We nicely explained that we needed to sit together due to my sons needs as he had put us in different seats splitting the 4 of us up, he abruptly said that there was no special requests for seating and to sit where we are told. My husband found 2 guests who we're together and asked if they would mind changing and going infrint of us so we can make it easier for our son. Again Arian wasn't best pleased and advised he would have us removed from the park for doing our own Que.. but the 2 lovely guest did go infront of us as they saw my son was struggling unlike Arian. As we were seated waiting for the ride to start we again saw the lovely Arian shouting at another group of guests, he actually swore! I've no idea why, nor the build up to this but your attitude in general is disgusting considering you work within the public sector, your compassion towards disabled guests is extremely poor too! Arian if you don't like your job find a new 1! This review could be longer and I'd be here all day but opproach with caution with your disabled companions, they show little compassion or help across the whole park by its employees! I personally don't think any compensation will be enough for us to want to return to Thorpe Park.

Perfect day out. Loved the thrill and rides. Most importantly the staff were nice, friendly and helpful. Staff let us stay on rides as there was no queue and were welcoming. Did not experience any discomfort or rudeness. Rides were working although it rained for a short while. Did not disappoint Can’t wait till next time!
