I'd originally booked in the summer, not considering of course that "night" doesn't start in time for a 7pm tour! I eventually settled on a date in October, and it was worth the wait! Katrina was a great guide, armed with useful analogies and quick rules of thumb to work out settings. She did a brilliant job of helping us to understand the difference between the stops in our settings, and the differences between each of our individual cameras too. Fortunately, we got dry weather and clear skies, so the walk along the south bank was pleasant, and Katrina was relaxed and happy to chat as we made our way between locations. I came away with some great photos and a better understanding of my camera. I'll definitely be making a return visit!

I bought this as a Christmas present for my husband who is a keen photographer. I am much more of a point and shoot kind of photo taker so I thought this would be fun for us to both to do. A bit of a mix up at the start meant that Katrina was late getting to us but she was profusely apologetic and made sure the time was made up at the end (and then some, it was closer to three hours in the end). Katrina started by showing us how to change from auto to manual on our cameras, and told us novices what the settings meant. I have to admit that not much of it sank in but it has given me a foundation to now build on. Katrina then took us to five locations to get some great shots. Also teaching us how to do those light trail shots with buses and the London Eye. And taking us to a tunnel full of graffitti to get some really cool street art shots, despite it being dark. Well worth the money and you will come away with pics that made your mates think you are a pro when you share them on instagram. Would definitely recommend. (as a blogger I have written about this on my blog, you can find it if you search Mummy Barrow and Leake Street Tunnel)

I have to say this far exceeded my expectations. The tutor - Katrina - was excellent and had bundles of knowledge, and articulated it in a way that is easily understood. I focused on Westminster area (Big Ben, London Eye) and I learn a significant amount in one evening that I can now build on. Great lesson in long exposure photography and getting great night shots. Definitely recommend and I'll be trying one of the other tours they offer.

My wife and I enjoyed the experience a lot, Kat, our guide, was excellent explained everything clearly very informative and approachable. Communication from the company was really good with e-mails about a week before explaining everything we needed to know and then a day before.

This all about exposure and you got to have a good DSLR and a tripod to do it. The guide was kind enough to give a few tripods to the ones who didn't have any. I took the south bank tour.I wish I had taken the other as it would involve the London Eye and the other interesting land marks. All in all its a good one, but you got to have some basic knowledge about photography.
