The tour was fine... but the guide (Ben) speaks way too fast... he rushes through his talks as if he has to do the next tour in 5 minutes... also we did not get his humor (this is personal of course) and noticed a couple of times he started talking before the group had assembled... unfortunately this spoilt our experience.
We had all tried to get to London to do this tour for over 2 yrs! With train strikes and back operations getting in the way,we finally got there Early train to get us into Paddington on time. Our tour guide Russell met us and explained clearly what we were going to do and see for the next couple of hours.Russell was so enthusiastic, interesting and full of knowledge! Very good value for money,it was a beautiful sunny day , saw parts of London that i didnt know existed.
We absolutely loved this tour and I think that the majority of that was down to our guide, Owen, who was absolutely fantastic. I say that because the actual tour doesn't show you that much (at least that you couldn't see yourself, anyway), but it really doesn't matter. Owen was fascinating, interesting and interested - and that made it a brilliantly enjoyable 2.5 hours. The sites are the sites, but it's the colour that a good guide provides that bring those sites to life. He answered tonnes of questions from the group and answered them like he'd never been asked before (even though he'd probably answered them a thousand times!) Don't expect to see a tonne of locations from the films (there are only 5 or 6 at most ) but do book with confidence, because the tour itself is great fun and a really good way to see a new part of London. As soon as we got home, we watched both films again to see those locations we had walked.
The tour leaded by Russel was great. He gave us new info related not only to the movie, but also to the author of Paddington character.
We did the Paddington walking tour with Ben, who was a great guide! Definitely recommend it if you are a fan of the movies, whether you are a child or adult :) It was also nice that the main spots we visited (Paddington station, Little Venice, and Portobello Road Market) were all things I was interested in seeing outside of Paddington too, so for a first-time visitor to London, it helped me check some things off my list!
