Having visited LWV for 40yrs, wow was i shocked. All big rides shut down. Took my 10yr old who was disappointed as nearly every ride is for much younger kids. The rides are what you would expect at a travelling fair. What 10, 11, 12yr old wants to go on the lady bug coaster. Place looks ran down, and such a shame to see the ultimate just stood, known as the longest coaster in Europe, an iconic ride throughout the world. Pay a bit more go to flamingo land, it has rides from toddlers upto teenagers. Dont think the new owners of lightwater valley have a clue. NEW OWNERS HANG YOUR HEADS IN SHAME R.I.P LIGHTWATER VALLEY,

Me and my family visited Lightwater Valley yesterday for a family day out and we all where hugely disappointed ! firstly there is not many rides left at Lightwater valley for example big thrill rides they all mostly have been removed and not replaced(who made this shocking business decision) , secondly the height restrictions for what is left is ridiculous and seriously needs changing loads of children can’t get on ANY rides , the whole theme Park( if that’s what you would call it more like a fair now ) has had its heart ripped out by the previous Owners Livingstone Leisure but if the new owners The Brighton Pier Group do not bring big thrill rides in ASAP and make it For All Ages , this Theme Park will be GONE ! We have visited all the theme parks in the UK this year and Lightwater Valley is the worst by far I’m sorry to say but It’s not a theme park RIP lightwater Valley not be long just like Camelot , American Adventure and Pleasure island all gone

Wasn't expecting much but still not as good as I thought it would be. Its a really small amount of the park open, the video makes it look like the Alice in wonderland lanterns were on a big field but they are just round the park. No Christmas music playing and a few fairy lights. The uv puppet show and Santa's workshop was the best bit but nothing lasted long. The couple of fun fair rides are only good for small children really. Did everything at the park and we were there for 2 and a half hours. Left wondering what id spent my money on.

We went on Saturday for the lantern and father Xmas puppet/magic show. We are a family of 5, age of children 10, 8 and 1. We found it far too young for the older 2 and too old for the youngest. The only ride decent for the older 2 was the swings and my 8year old wasn't tall enough to go on. So he was very disappointed. We have all ended up with sickness bug after eating the terrible hot dogs on sale here. We are still poorly now!!! The show was OK although the father Christmas that comes out is in a mascot costume so makes it a bit difficult explaining to the children who were expecting to see Father Christmas. The rides that were open were suitable for toddlers only. Not a lot there. The gift you get is a very cheap small selection box. Overall very disappointed and won't be recommending or returning.
