From the very beginning we knew this was going to be a great day riding trials bikes. The set up is as good as you can get with drink and food on hand as you arrive. A cup of coffee and a bacon sandwich was downed followed by a safety briefing and the change into riding gear. We choose 4 stroke bikes and they were made ready for us. Our instructor,Fen, took us out to the riding area and spent the whole day coaching us on how to ride over some challenging terrain. By the end of the day we had tried some beginner and intermediate routes and managed to ride with confidence and ability through them all. We were offered to try different bikes and my son tried a 2 stroke bike to experience the difference. We were tired by the end of the day and knew we had done a great workout. Simply the best experience day we have ever done!! What you waiting for? Book it now you won’t regret it.
My daughter (never ridden a motorcycle before) and I did two experience days. She was in the absolute beginners and I did the intermediates. She had an EM electric trials bike and I started off with a new Montesa 4-stroke. I have ridden a lot of 2 strokes and wanted to try a newer bike but not an electric. All equipment provided including clothes, gloves, boots and helmets. All clean and lots of sizes. The bikes were either new or might possibly be up to a year old (they might not be even that old). They were immaculate and well maintained. I didn't like the Montesa and swapped back to a 2-stroke Beta as more familiar with the engine and how it felt. To me it was a massive difference, oddly enough the bloke who swapped with me felt the Montesa was far better than the Beta for exactly the same reasons, he thought the Beta was too fierce and the Montesa was so much easier to ride. Anyway, no issues with swapping bikes at all. The instructors were excellent for both groups, they hit the level of the groups pretty much spot on. Were friendly, helpful, absolutely non-judgemental on skills and ability and did everything possible to make the sessions as fun and as useful as possible. Nothing was too much effort, it was clear though that they were far, far, far better than we were so they could easily show us what to do. Ours tried very hard to try and pretend he wasn't that good, but he knew his stuff and it was great to watch. My daughter loved her group, she was the only girl there, had never ridden a motorcycle yet by the end of the day was riding through streams, over obstacles and looked like she was very much at home. Top marks to her instructor for the way he brought her along. She was very worried about being the only girl in her group and he was excellent in how he treated her and by the end of the morning she had completely forgotten about being the only girl and just wanted to keep on riding. Really appreciated that from the instructor, it is so easy to be patronising and Inch Perfect were spot on. The outdoor sections are over a 100 acres, there's something for everybody, from laid out practise sections for beginners in a nice easy and safe area up to "oh my god, never in a million years" bits. The instructors were very easy and never forced anybody to do things beyond their level, they got things pretty well at the right level all the time. Also if you wanted to do something a little more advanced, sections were laid out with slightly more difficult optional bits as well as simpler bits. All in all, a brilliant day out. The only thing that would make it even better would be free :)
We took our son for his first bike experience 1:1 tuition and was so impressed with the whole set up and instructor. A big thank you to Sarah for encouraging my slightly nervous son, for your patience and kindness when he came off the bike. We thought she was brilliant!!!
Last weekend, I attended a trials bike experience day as a 60th birthday present from my wife, The day started with a great bacon butty and a proper cuppa (always a good start!) then we collected our freshly cleaned, high end protective gear (go kart circuits take note..) which consisted of boots, pants, jersey, gloves and helmet. We watched the mandatory safety video and were introduced to our EM electric bikes, and Sarah, our instructor for the day. Our group was an eclectic mix of varying abilities, - a couple of young lads, a non biking dad, a lapsed biker and my mate and myself, both road bikers. Sarah was an absolutely fantastic tutor, who dealt with the varying abilities with humour, patience, encouragement and professionalism. The 2 hour morning session went by in a flash, and was spent familiarising ourselves with the superb electric bikes on a very wet and slippery field. Lunch was a hearty chicken and chorizo pasta.\, with garlic bread, The afternoon session also sped by and was spent tackling rocky stream beds, and trying out some of the easier obstacles in the Red Bull Trials Park. By the end of the day we were all tackling sections that no one would have expected at the beginning of the day! I thoroughly enjoyed the day and I'll definitely be back! A nice touch was a phone call after a few days from Nigel, asking if we'd enjoyed the experience.
Very professional organisation, in our group we had people with no experience up to handy riders, 12 in total , the instructors, Andrew and Sarah were spot on and soon had everyone riding in the streams ! Everyone had a good sense of humour and we all learnt something and had a good laugh ! Food was great as well . I don’t have anything negative to say really , only thing missing was someone to take a few photos as the lads would have bought them as a keepsake . It was actually our Christmas do , best one Iv ever been on ! 100 acres to lark around in, scenery is awesome as well . I’m going to give it 10/10 and I think it’s fair to say so would the rest of the group .
