After we meet at the German Fountain which was given as a gift to Ottoman Empire by german king Wilhelm ii, You will hear the story of Istanbul, then we will see Hagia Sophia from outside, then walk in the garden of Blue Mosque with hearing the facts of Islam, Our tour heads a secret cistern, where you will be amazed by the architecture of Roman Empire that served as a cistern for the needs of the Istanbul for a long time with the Basilica Cistern. We will go to the Nuruosmaniye mosque after that and visit inside of a great ottoman mosque. Then we will see Grand Bazaar where we will finish our tour too.

Istanbul is one of the most fantastic cities in the world. The old town of Istanbul was the capital of great empires and the dream of the conquerors. It has many stories to be told. Explore the old town with a local guide and hear its stories in this tip based walking tour.

In this walking tour we will discover the Roman Hippodrome area, see the famous Blue Mosque and iconic Hagia Sophia from outside, stroll through the labyrinthian streets of Grand Bazaar, visit the fabulous mosque of Sultan Süleyman (Süleymaniye) and end up the tour at Spice Market in Eminönü.

We are keeping our groups small for a better and more intimate experience.

Tour 2 Option: Panorama of Istanbul at Night Walking Tour (English):

In this walking tour we are going to explore completely Istanbul and its breathtaking places. It will be an opportunity to know the city, while enjoying the vivid night atmosphere.

What are we going to see in this tour?

- Column of Constantine

- Nur-u Osmaniye Mosque (which is the entrance gate of Grand Bazaar)

- Traditional and antique Ottoman type cafes (Sisha,Nargile cafe)

- Suleymaniye Mosque

- Sultan Suleyman and Hurrem Sultan (wife of Suleyman) tombs.

- Golden Horn and Galata Tower, Galata Bridge, and Bosphorus.

There is also a beautiful panoramic view of the Mosque in where Suleymaniye Mosque is located. We will take a public tram to get to Taksim Square. Taksim is downtown and has the most special shops, fish restaurants, bars, pubs, and nightlife.

On the avenue of Taksim (the most famous street of the city), we will see Christian and Jewish heritages. At the end of the Avenue we will get to Galata Tower, which was built by Roman and Byzantium history and art, Cenova. From Galata Tower to Sultanahmet Square we will take a public tram and see historical building and monuments such as Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia.

At the end of the trip I give you information and advises about Traditional Turkish Dance Shows (Dervish Whirling Dance, Folk Dance, Belly Dance with Ottoman Ceremony).

Tour 3 Option: Turkish Street Food Walking Tour (English):

In this tour, you are going to explore authentic Turkish street foods that locals love, but which most of the tourists don't know. You are going try a bunch of foods and learn about them from a local insider's view.

We will go to hidden places only known by a local :). The tour will be in Kadıköy, which is the area that is less explored by visitors, but a hub of local activity with some of the best food in the city.

This is a tip based food tour, which means that you only pay for what you eat. If you eat all the foods on my list, it will cost around 60 Lira = 12 Euro. I'll suggest you the amount that you should eat considering the rest of the tour, but you can decide how much to eat. If there is any item in the list that you don't want to try, it can be changed with other street food options (There are too many!). So, everything in the tour can be customized as you like. Just let me know about it before the tour.

Since the tour is entirely based on tips, you’re the one who decides, once the tour is over, to give what you consider appropriate.

Istanbul through Bosphorus.

We will know the spices bazaar (in Turkish mısır çarşısı) located in Eminönü, this popular market is associated with the set of buildings that constitute the külliye of the New Mosque; This intimate link with the temple is explained by the fact that the market was created to defray, with its benefits, the mosque's charitable works, as well as its maintenance and continuous extensions.

The building was commissioned by Sultana Turhan Hatice, favorite of Sultan Ibrahim I, who commissioned the design from the court architect Koca Kasım Ağa who defined a fully roofed bazaar with an original L-shaped configuration. Works, however, would not be directed by "Mimar Kasim" but they were executed by another architect named Mustafa Ağa, who would finish the souk in the year 1660.
