My friend and I traveled to Istanbul this month and got ourself Istanbul Tourist Pass. I would give even lower rating for this pass however, the only reason why this pass gets higher rating is because of the guides. They are truly amazing, Oguzhan Gurkcu he took us to Basilica Cistern, he is really nice and knowledged. His co-worker took us around Hagia Sophia on the same day 16th of April at 2pm also great guy. Next day 17th of April we went to Topkapi Sarayi at 10am and Dolmabahce sarayi 3:30pm. I also can only say the best things about those guides as well. All 4 of them are really nice and knowledgeable. I can't recommend this pass because without the guide you can not enter to any of the attractions. With the guide you can enter and stay inside after the guide leaves. It was kinda a bummer not to have audio in Topkapi Harem like when you get when you purchase a regular ticket at entry point. Also, points of meeting with the guides should be explained better on the app. The app keeps glitching and when you open it you can not see your pass so you have to access through email. Overall, I give the best rating to the guides who took us around, thank you for your time, but if it was about the pass only pass it would get just one star.

The pass is not worth it as they inflate how much each excursion costs on their website. They usually add a bit more to makeup for the tourguides. They're nice and cool but their tours can last a few minutes and they're ok. If youre a person who wants to go on their own, don't use the pass because most of the main site attractions require you to sign up and have a tour guide with limited times lot. The tour guides also buy your tickets for you which means some of the other attractions at the sites require the physical ticket to get in, which you won't have in some cases, so you won't be able to get in there or you will need to go somewhere to get it, which they don't tell you anywhere on the website. The pass is inconvenient and I didn't see why I'd need it in the first place.

The reason I haven't given this 5 stars is because of the fact that La Vacanza Travel and Istanbul Tourist Pass do a bad job of explaining what the actual tour experience is. I believed I was meeting a guide in one place at 10 am and then going with that guide to Basílica Cistern and Topkapi Palace (Hagia Irene is inside there as well). However, the reality was much more hectic and I didn't appreciate that since I was with my parents and wanted it to be easy for them. So, realistically what happened was that at 10 am we went to Basílica Cistern with one guide, had 15 minutes in there after his explanation and then had to rush about 10 minutes away walking to another tour at 11 for Topkapi Palace and Hagia Irene. I got lost along the way and had to contact Istanbul Tourist Pass. At that point, I just wish La Vacanza Travel had better explained how the experience would be. I also thought that I could just have contracted the tour straight from the company since in the end, La Vacanza Travel wasn't very helpful. This disappointed me because La Vacanza Travel usually does better than that. In the end, we did get our tours with two great guides who really told us a ton about these places. Especially if the guide at Topkapi palace took a bunch of time and explained so much to us. Just wish the organization would have been better.
