Truly unique guided kayaking tour on the beautiful Lake Brienz. From your kayak, you are surrounded by snow covered mountains which reflect beautifully on the mirror-like water. Escape the crowded ski pistes for a while and join us in this peaceful and magical environment. Our top end equipment will keep you warm and dry during the tour.

The session lasts 3 hours of which we spent around 2 hours on the water. 

What’s included: experienced sea kayak coach, small group sizes (from 2-6), top quality sea kayaks, paddles and top end Palm Bora drysuits, poggies and booties, as well as photo package.

  • You do not need previous kayaking experience, but you must be able to handle a kayak on your own.
  • Stroller accessible
  • You should bring warm clothes to be worn under the dry suit: Thick socks, thermal bottom top and a thin jumper. Extra layers if very cold, sunglasses, sunhat, cream (you never know), change of clothes in case you get sweaty or a bit wet.
  • Children 15 and younger are not allowed.

  • Maximum weight 120kg

It was truly a great experience. We had Chris as our guide, who expertly taught us kayaking. We even got some photos to remember the day. My wife, Ann, prepared well for this trip, exercising daily for 3-4 months to tackle hiking and kayaking. However, strong winds and constant snow made it challenging. Nevertheless, Chris gladly helped her, and it's worth noting that he took a lot of pictures of my wife 😊 Chris is incredibly friendly, taking care of everyone and talking a lot of things while paddling. Despite the cold weather, it felt warm. In summary, if anyone wants to try winter kayaking (they're open year-round, with just a one-week break), head to Interlaken at Hightide Kayaking School. Highly recommended!"

One experience I fully enjoyed and wouldn't hesitate to repeat. Rain and clouds did not prevent us from enjoying the tour with Andres, our amazing instructor who made sure of our safety and comfort. We had spectacular views, great conversations, a lot of fun and tons of photos and videos. Highly recommanded. It was simply a magical unforgatable adventure.

We teamed up with other people from diffrent countries. Guilds were very friendly, funny, careful and patient to me and my travel buddy. This is the first time we have kayaking. What a scenic view of the lake. I highly recommend for group/friends having activity together. For safety reason, people should not bring camera on your own. Tour has photo/video package already. My mum is 63, in good health condition and did enjoy the tour :D

This was an incredible experience that I would recommend to anyone going to this area (locals and tourists alike). My husband and I were in Switzerland on our honeymoon, and deeply enjoyed our kayak tour with our kayak guide, Andre. Lake Brienz is SO beautiful - even in the cold weather due to the high quality dry suits provided (and the fact that we were the only ones out on the lake). We had been kayaking before, but Andre still took the time to give us pointers to improve our technique which was very helpful. It is beginner friendly as well. Photos and video are included in the price (the guide takes them on a GoPro and emails a link to them the same day as the tour), which is a deal not many other companies offer for adventure activities in the Interlaken area. Highly, highly recommend this tour!
