My colleague and I took a quick side trip to Hangzhou during our business trip. Our guide, Doris, was wonderful and very knowledgeable of the area being a native of Hangzhou :-) Doris met us at the train station and helped us pick up our return tickets and then took us on a day long tour of Hangzhou . She helped tune our trip to sites we wanted to see as we were more interested in nature scenes. We went around West Lake in a boat and walked around the causeway, saw old villages, hiked around tea plantations with wonderful views, had a great lunch and finished with a hike in a bamboo forest. Doris spoke English well and we had no problem communicating. At the end of the day she took us to the hotel, helped us check in and arrange taxi for next day for train station, and suggested several good restaurants. Overall a very good day and a great guide. Would recommend this tour with Doris!
