Overview

We really are fortunate here; the River Avon is a slow, winding, dreamy escape of a river that meanders away from roads, towns and the noise of civilization into a quiet wilderness full of creatures large and small. I regularly see deer swimming in the river during the Summer and Red Kites are starting to shadow us as we paddle along too!

This is more than just your average 'learn to SUP' session, this is a complete experience giving you the skills to escape into nature safely on a paddleboard so you can explore these natural spaces from the unique perspective of walking on water! WAY more than just a SUP adventure this comprehensive beginner's paddle lesson and SUP safari experience is all about skills, safety, confidence and tranquillity!

Ready for some SUP therapy? Learn to stand-up paddleboard (SUP) and enjoy a SUP safari on the beautiful River Avon with Wittering SUP; an award winning ASI accredited SUP school.

Perfect for absolute beginners, you'll learn how to stand-up paddleboard followed by a peaceful tour of the beautiful river Avon to enjoy the tranquillity and local wildlife. Every ticket sold makes a contribution to the Kemerton Conservation Trust which helps take care of the beautiful wildlife here.

With ASI qualified SUP Technical Coaches (and all gear provided), you will learn everything you need to start your paddleboarding adventure; how to kneel and ultimately stand on a board, correct paddle-stroke and turning techniques as well as safety and equipment knowledge before we head off on our adventure!

Ideal for couples, families or friend groups from age 12+ so long as you can swim at least 50m.

This a very accessible water sport and you don't need any experience to join in.

All paddlers get a 10% discount from our friends at Revil's Farm Shop and Cafe; hot drinks and delicious lunches onsite - Yum!

    It was touch and go whether our Paddleboarding trip would go ahead due to bad weather reports. But we crossed fingers as we were on our hols and couldn’t do another time. We turned up at arranged time and all was good with the weather. A lovely welcome from Alex. Kitted out and down to the edge of the river for a very informative guide to Paddleboarding although not complete novices her explanations and guidance was brilliant. We had a lovely chilled paddle down the Avon where we felt at ease and not rushed. This was one of our highlights to our weeks hol and loved every minute of it. If in the area would book again. Would recommend to anyone wanting to try . Thank you Alex….Perfect 😁

    Fantastic experience, highly recommended! Alex and James were very informative and made Eric and myself feel very safe whilst on the river, even managed a yoga pose on the board. You have inspired us to get our own boards and for all the 60+ people, it really doesn’t matter how old you are! It’s great to get out there and have some fun. Thanks Alex and James, you will see us again :)

    What a fantastic way to spend an afternoon! We loved our SUP safari down the River Avon. The scenery was great, we saw loads of dragonflies flying around and plenty of fish in the river. Alex and James were brilliant tutors. They helped us correct our paddle stroke so we were actually going in a straight line! We also polished up our step-back turns, which was great fun. Finished off the afternoon with a lovely swim in the river... Perfect.

    Alex and James were brilliant instructors who took the time to make sure we were comfortable on the water before setting off. They provided useful tips on posture and form throughout the session and I left feeling a lot more confident on the board.
