Early in October I was due to attend a balloon flight which was booked for the afternoon. On the day I received an email with a change of time for the flight which I was unable to attend so I replied to the email stating that I would need to re-book another time. As this was a Sunday the company claimed that they did not receive emails and the whole flight had to be cancelled because I didn't show up and therefore my tickets were now voided. I am somewhat aghast that an organisation sends emails to change details but does not monitor them in this day and age when most of society has moved to the ability to access emails remotely - "Aerosaurus" more like "Dinosaurus". It was the company that changed the flight time not me and to cancel my tickets as a result of a change they made is a disgrace particularly as they were notified within minutes in writing of the change in time via email. I am sympathetic to the changes in flights for balooning etc because of weather but this cannot be at the sole discretion of the company. In short, I wouldn't bother booking with them as they can change things how they want to and will just take your money and provide no benefit. Before writing this review I wrote to the company if they would reconsider to which they are yet to respond. Yet again ignoring correspondence. I suggest paying a little more and going with a more professional outfit.

Finally got the go ahead for last Wednesday evening (25th) after several cancellations, and it was so worth the wait. We met up at Exeter but they took us to Tiverton as the wind direction could have taken us out to sea. Arthur, our pilot, and the ground crew were very professional, friendly and gave us clear instructions. At the launch site we all had the chance to help out if we wanted. Getting into the basket was the hardest bit - forget about hanging on to your dignity! All nerves vanished the moment we left the ground, swept away by the sheer wonder of it all. The weather was amazing, light winds, good visibility and the setting sun highlighting the contours of the ground. Apart from brief bursts of the burners it was so peaceful and relaxing, we could see for miles in all directions and the glass of fizz made it feel even more special. All too soon we had to start our descent, but we landed so gently there was only the slightest bump. Again we all had the chance to help pack everything away and were then taken back to Exeter and given our flight certificates. A big thank you to everyone at Aerosaurus for making it possible for us all to enjoy such an amazing experience. I would do it again in a heartbeat.
