Get to discover the magical volcanic rain forest landscapes of southwest Mauritius on an 7-8 hours guided tour.
Highlights include the Trou Aux Cerfs which is the famous dormant volcano to enjoy a 360 degrees view of the island from its high altitude.
Then you will head up to Mare Aux Vacoas, a reservoir. Embedded deep in the forest.
Visit the Grand Bassin (Ganga – Talao) which is the sacred lake of Mauritius. Let yourself yourself be blown away by the numerous sacred temples and statues.
Next the forest road to Black River Gorges and Alexandra Viewpoint to snap some social media-worthy pictures.
After a few minutes of driving, we will go through the village of Chamarel to savor a Mauritian lunch at a local restaurant.
After Lunch we will visit the chamarel waterfall and the 7 coloured earth followed by the Chamarel Viewpoint.Next will be Maconde viewpoint you will be able to admire a breathtaking coastalview from the top of the viewpoint. Your tour ends with return transport to hotel

The coloured earth was something to see you won't see anywhere else. The Hindu temple on the lake was very interesting. Our guild was excellent informative and knowledgeable.

The tour was very enjoyable, however some of the roads are closed due to landslides , which added time and made it a long day.

South part is one of the best we did in Mauritius’ The tour’s duration is around 8hours yes it was a bit long for us but worth it.

Was very disappointed with our driver (Uban). He was extremely quiet and had very little to say about the various spots on the tour, on several occasions he would step away from the group and just say "I will meet you there", leaving us to look around -not knowing what we are looking at. Despite all these, the lunch included in the tour was very good.

Very disappointed vehicle didn’t have air conditioning unless an open window counts, no water as advertised and driver didn’t speak very clear English however he covered the sightseeing program
