Food Tour was interesting and we enjoyed our tour with our guide Beshoy who showed us local Cairo and try local oriental food .we walk in Cairo and saw all street and local life , we sit in code shop and drink Egyptian tea with mint , my friend even tried to smoke shesha , was fun , we tried 4 toys of local food , we were just as impactful as food itself

Moaz showed us the back roads of Giza on our food tour. We felt safe and looked after and met some wonderful and friendly locals as we shared in traditional Egyptian food. We had a fabulous evening.

Moaz was a fun guy to chat with! Incredibly kind guy, we enjoyed our 3 hours with him. He also expertly handled the madness that is driving in Egypt. We enjoyed each of the stops on the tour. Food wise, Koshary was an unexpected surprise. Very tasty combo of ingredients that you wouldn’t expect to be Egyptian staples. Chicken Schwarma was way more involved than what we eat in the states (as you can guess, way more in it here). We enjoyed seeing the streets of Giza/Cairo too. The Papyrus store stop was actually quite interesting and we liked it. They ask you directly if you want to buy something. We were told going in it was not a pressured sales pitch. That was accurate. They ask, politely say no thank you if you don’t want to buy. Very easy and not awkward at all. They get it. I think food tours end up being funnest way to see a slice of life in a foreign city. This was no exception. Total chaos on the streets, having a local resident to navigate makes it doable. We walked his street and saw his bread shop, meat store, grain/pasta place, etc. But be warned, it’s like any ancient city (Rome, etc) street. It is equal parts for driving, parking, walking, sitting in a chair, total chaos. Seemingly no rules. Book this tour, it’s a fun way to see the city and eat the real Egyptian cuisine.
