Overview

This 6.5-hour Queensland rock climbing experience is suitable for complete beginner and intermediate climbers. Ascend an ancient, volcanic peak with spectacular scenery, located just over an hour's drive north of Brisbane in Glass House Mountains National Park. The rock climbing starts on small cliffs, working your way up to the summit cliff face. A professional guide(s) gives you tips on basic techniques to help you to complete this mental and physical challenge; guide-to-participant ratios are kept small to ensure you get the most out of your experience.

Itinerary

If you’re looking for a true-blue Queensland rock climbing experience, look no further than Mt Ngungun – a little mountain with a lot of character! From short, atmospheric routes among the eucalypts to exposed, soaring columns reaching toward the sky, Mt Ngungun has a large variety of routes.

Meet your fantastic Pinnacle guides at the entrance to Mt Ngungun National Park. From here you'll walk into the cliffs. Take a breather while your guide sets up your ropes and then get climbing!

Your guides will teach you everything you need to know for the session, from climbing skills to belaying techniques, as well as taking care of all the rigging and safety considerations. No experience needed, just turn up and climb! A number of different climbs will be set up throughout the day.

A moderate level of fitness is required, the walk to the summit is approx. 45 mins.

With more than 20 years of experience, Pinnacle Sports is South East Queensland’s leading provider of rock climbing and abseiling training and experiences. Our reputation for high quality outdoor experiences has been built on low instructor to participant ratios, meaning you get more time to do the rad stuff!
