Overview

We offer anglers and families to enjoy every aspect of being on the ocean. In the winter months we quite often see Humpback whales and can stop to view them. We also offer the opportunity to snorkel should our guests decide they would like to include that with their charter (advance notice is required though).

What Can You Expect?

Itinerary

We offer a variety of styles of fishing. Expect the opportunity to set the lines for trolling for big game, but we also use real and artificial bait for drifting and bottom fishing if the current is favorable. Out team wants you to have the experience of holding the tackle and fishing along with the great views that come from fishing in the deep blue waters of Kailua-Kona, Hawaii. On longer charters, you can also have the opportunity to snorkel or swim at some of the majestic reefs located on the West side of the Big Island.

    Fantastic experience! You do need some patience. We had 3 teens/young adult with us and patience is not exactly their forte. It took a bit to get the first catch but then there was lots of activity. The captain did take some additional time since we got a later catch (not sure what exactly is the norm). Would 10/10 recommend!

    Trip was great been on 5 different charters and this was by far by best luck catching fish! We catch a large Mahi and a rare Spear fish!

    Went out fishing with my dad and It was one of the best most memorable days ever . we caught a striped marlin. It was about 6 feet and around 80 to 100 pounds! We had captain Dan and he filleted the fish for us to take home. The charter provided a memorable and enjoyable day on the water. 10/10 recommend

    My first deep sea fishing experience and it was awesome! My wife and I booked this trip as part of our anniversary celebration. So we contacted Captain Brent to book a 6 hour fishing trip and we are so happy we did . The boat was very nice and clean and stocked with bottle water and snacks for the trip. Captain Brent and his crew really made this trip an unforgettable celebration. They are very experienced at what they do and took care of all the details while we enjoyed the boat ride and seeing how everything works. After a couple hours we hooked a pair of spearfish and let me tell you, this was the moment we were waiting for, full of adrenaline pumping and excitement! a lifetime moment we will never forget. We really enjoyed this trip and I highly recommend Reel Escapes Hawaii for your fishing adventures. Great for groups or as a couples trip you will have a great time with Captain Brent and his crew, they will work hard to give you a great experience. I will be a returning customer every time we are in Kona

    Excellent day on the water with Captain Brent and deckhand Matt. All gear provided. Great boat. The crew was knowledgeable and very accommodating. Caught three beautiful Mahi Mahi and one was a bull over 50 pounds. I will definitely be fishing with Reel Escapes on my next trip to Kona. Would highly recommend to anyone.
